What's the best way to play AQ post flop when you hit top pair on the flop but there are also 2 suited cards. I play on titan and it seems that every 2nd that has a flop with 2 suited cards turns into a flush for someone. So is it best to bet big on the flop, the turn or just bet the minimum hoping that a flush doesn't come ?

Thanx Tubbs

Depends on the players you are playing against, but I would say the best action is to bet big not too big, but big enough to try and get the ppl on draws out of the hand. But, a lot of times you will find some idiot who will put all their chips in the middle on some crappy flush draw.

*Also I hope your raising preflop which will also help get rid of some of the crappier flush drawing hands.

Yeah i would raise pre flop with AQ but on titan coz people know about how many times a flush comes up they will still call with 7 2 suited. Had my fill on titan coz of this and if I reach the amount to withdraw or lose it all I won't be putting any more $ into their site.

um.... poker is not rigged. you want people to call your raises with 72s because this is how you make money. if you think otherwise, why the heck have you put any money online?

I would usualy bet big seeing suited cards hoping they will fold of course you know this doesnt always happen but what other choice do you really have if you want to win that hand.

I don't think it matters what site you play on, but if I had AQ and hit the Q on the flop, I'd put out a pot size bet. You can bet more or even go all-in, but quite a few will still stay around with their two suited cards.

I would also bet the pot; even with low blinds and low stakes. The bigger you make the pot when you have the best chance/odds/outs
the more you win in the LONG TERM. You can't control your opps or the cards so I TRY to get opps to drop by making them pay to see the next card if they don't fold.

Personally I think you might want to be a little more careful. Depending on how things unfolded pre-flop, you might need to be concerned about AA or KK. It's great to have top pair with top kicker, but those hands are easily dominated by either overpair or the nasty little trips that show up when you least expect them. If you make a pot size bet when hitting your Q, are you then committing yourself to going all-in if anyone raises. You could either be beaten already or an aggressive flush draw could easily show you the exit.
