131 hands against this villain, 23/8 with a 3bet stat of 8.9%

Poker Stars - $0.01/$0.02 No Limit Hold'em (7 players)
Poker Stars Hand Converter Tool from CardsChat.com

SB: $1.51
BB: $0.96
UTG Hero: $2.27
MP: $0.78
MP+1: $2.30
CO: $2.42
BTN: $0.77
ccfeng - Sitting Out

Pre-flop: ($0.03) Hero is UTG and dealt :kd4: :ks4:
Hero raises to $0.08, MP folds, MP+1 raises to $0.24, 4 folds, Hero raises to $0.60, MP+1 raises to $2.30 (All-in)

So is this a 4bet shove or a 5bet shove, or do you need more people to be involved for it to be called that?

Would you have played it differently?

He 5bet shoved on you. You raised, he 3bet, then you 4bet to 60cents, and he 5bet shoved

Thanks for the clarification. Just seems odd that it's a 3bet when only I had bet before him, which would make 2bet seem more logical terminology :p

Ah OK, that makes sense. Although I play before them on the first round, they have already put their money in before the cards were dealt.

3-betting comes from limit, where people talk in terms of number of bets... i.e. a raise before the flop and the dealer will announce "that's 2 bets to you."
