Can anyone explain to me the basic strategy for 27 triple draw - i like the low games like razz and hi lo's but i cant seem to get the hang of 27 triple draw... What would be considered a good starting hand for 27, what would you say is the maximum number of high cards in order to play the hand? And at what point should you "sit pat"

Since 75432 is the best hand any three of these cards is good. Particularly 7 and 2 since that makes the best hand possible and a straight impossible. Three to an 8 might be good in LP but no so great utg. Obv the more players drawing the less likely an 86 will be best. HU in position you should stand with a made ten vs. someone on the last draw. Think about how many cards will give your opponents a better hand, how prone to chasing they are, and what they would raise you with to decide what move to make .

I'm just learning the game myself and can't give specific starting hands for position although it should be pretty simple to work out.

its basicly the reverse of holdem. if you have 22xxx, and your opponent has 66xxx, you win. best possible hand as said, no flush no straight 5 worst cards 75432. ace is always considered high. at low blinds, players usually try their chance, 5 or 6 people goes on. u see your 8 high cards beaten lots of times. its like coinflop, sometimes you win with your 86542 sometimes you lose. if u see your opponent change at least one card at last draw, u can win even with T high, because he may draw a higher card or catch a pair. i raise at those positions when blinds are relatively low. the rest is up to you, same play with holdem; bluff, aggressive passive loose tight plays. i read somewhere that do not play a hand that doesnt have a 2. its beacuse without a 2, u cant catch 7.

i'd say nothing to beat razz in terms of strategy involved 2-7 triple draw,is more of a coinflip...yu dont kno wen ur oppenents are bluffing...ur only clue is the the no. of cards they draw, which isnt much...whereas in razz yu have ur burrried cards, and ur open cards, open cards being,4/7 giving yu a much clearer idea wen ur oppenent is donking or otherwise....
