I played against a player that was very aggressive with 50+ vpip and was making big raises all the time that made no sense like shovin allin or raising to like 30 bb when he put up a big bet preflop and flop came up low cards

SB 50 BB 100

I got dealt QJd

Villain raised to 420 preflop i called

Flop: 2 8 j

Villain raised to 2800 out of his 6000 stack

And i shoved for 4800

Did i make a big mistake? And if so how would you have played this hand?

I would fold it preflop , Q high vs aggro monkey on guarantee ...

Would call if have position with 22-99 (if have like 25-30+bb), ak and 1010+ raise/shove ...

again , my humble opinion ;)

Yeah, in micro stakes these idiots don't get punished often enough by the other players at the table. It can be frustrating to sit there and be yelling at the screen for the opponents to call his bs raises and bets.

The only thing you can do about them is worry about your own hand strength pre flop, and be even more aggressive back at them when you have a premium hand. Just don't EVER play marginal hands against these agro donkeys. QJ looks nice, but you're behind every single K and A high hand already.

I think you played well.If there's no error there's no way to improve your game.
