Hi all.

After a withdrawal I got myself back to $150 on PS, $90 on Party and $50 on FT

I`m playing 1 (about 9/ 10 player) or 2 (18/20 plater) table SNG`s

Playing a mix of mainly PLO8 NL/ PL

Based on above, what are the bankroll management rules normally?

Thanks guys

Stick to 3.3$ Sngs at PS...Would be ideal till u hit 200$ then u can try 4.4$ buy-ins !!!

U r buy-in should be 2% of ur bank roll !!!

And good luck by the way mate...

Now I was thinking it was 5% SNG`s and 2% MTTs?

If you're playing only one or two tables then I think you could stretch to the $5.00 or $6.00 IF you are a winning player, if you're not then there is no point playing anymore than the smallest stakes.

Personally with $150.00 I think you have enough buy-ins to play $5.00. I personally play anywhere between $1.75-.$3.75 with a $150.00 but I'm stricter with my BR and not the best player and most importantly I play more tables. If I was only doing one or two I would play $5.00!

$3 for SNGs would probably be fine. I'd stick to $1 MTTs for now...most regs agree you need about 200 buy ins for mTTs (assuming you are not interested in reloading your bankroll).

I like to have at least 30 BI's at STT's. 20 is risky. 50 is better.

I think more like 1% for MTT's and SNG's over 90 players. 2% for under 90 players. 3% STT.

Of course you can double those numbers if ya want to be risky or are in the micros. Just don't start playing scared when your BR drops way down. Either move down or try to go for it and re-deposit if needed. Playing with scared money is -EV for sure.

Realistically 2% of your bankroll per SNG is reasonable. However, if you're a recreational poker player at low stakes, up to 5% is probably OK.

If you're experienced, you may want to play $5 since the rake is lower at higher limits. If your new and learning, you want to stick with $3. I do think sticking to Ferguson's BR management rule is best though.

As the others have said 2-5%. But the best practice is to have a point where you move down. For me I use 5% as my move down point. If I will have less than 20 buyins at my current level when I buyin to a STT I have to move down. My move up mark is around 30 buyins for the next level, but thats not as important as moving down.

5% is alright if your a winning STT player but you can still easily go broke if you don't move down when you should. The more players in the games you play the less % of your bankroll you should be using to buy in. If you play large MTTs 1% or less may be necessary because you will barely ever win big.

Also i'd put it all on one site. Although variety is nice, if you start playing higher stakes the VPP's and rakeback etc can mount up. If they're spread across three sites it'll be lower than if you played exclusively on one site.

Ron, you've been around longer than anyone who's replied to you. I'd have thought you had this down long ago. Been taking a break?

Hi and hope u r well.

Yep, I thought I had and yep, took a break a while back, withdrew each account back to I think it was $20 each. Now built it back up over about 8 weeks - built it up by not using normal bankroll management. Wanted to gamble, so was playing about 5% MTT and 10% SNG - very little ring games.

But started reading sites and got so much variation it was untrue

For me I would use 2% MTT, 5% SNG, 200 BB for limit and 500 BB for pot and NL
