We see a lot of material saying that in order to be a good poker player you need to have a good BR management.
But with $10 makes sense to be carefull in not loose it all or does it worth to play more aggressive buyins trying to get better profits?

It all depends on what your goal is and how much you value $10.
If you do not have additional funds to deposit than I would error on the side of caution playing the lowest Tourney or cash ring game you can find until you are able to build it up.
If your goal is to have fun and see if you can run up your bankroll in a hurry than play whatever you want, with the realization that if it is lost you can 1. either deposit in the near future or if that is not an option. 2. realize that with higher percentage you buy in with the higher risk you have of losing it.
When I used to care I would buy in for a max of 2 percent for mtt and 5 percent for ring games. However I myself would just play the 10 in one shot. but than again probably why I keep depositing , but for me online is more of a cheap entertainment and prefer to save brm for live games. but ultimately its your 10 bucks so play it like you want, just be willing to accept the outcome if the cards don't fall the way you had wished.

As you have already said several examples and talking about books you play conservatively with his BankRoll. Then climb limit aggressively with only $ 10 and Suicide its BANK, a rule that many players use have at least 100 buy-in limit intended to play the same.

So is the hint.

I don't understand why this topic was moved here.
Anyway, if you take a conservative BRM with $10 it's gonna take months to climb up in limits. What are you going to play if you take the 100 buy-in limit?
IMHU i think it doesn't worth to be so conservative with this $10.
If you end up loosing it all, there are plenty of freerolls out there to try to recover it.
If you want just have fun with this $10 like you sad its ok to play cheap buy-ins but if you want to climb up i dont think its a smart decision.
And just for information, it's not my BR it's just a general question!

It all depends on what your goal is and how much you value $10.

If you want to practice BRM then $10 is very hard to do that with. For example let's say you play $.01/.02 NL where max buy-in is $2.00 The experts say you should have a minimum of 20 max BI's ($2.00 x 20= $40.00) so you should have $40.00 to properly practice BRM.

I will inform you that Bovada recently gave me $10.00 & I ran that up to $166 after 39 straight winning sessions.

You can win small numerous times & it does add up. When I went on my 39 straight winning sessions streak my goal each day was to win a minimum of 20% of the max BI which would equal $.40.

Now OBV there were days I would win more than the $.40 by doubling up my starting stack meaning at least a $2.00 profit.

Depends on how good a player you are and how much you can actually afford to lose. A good player is probably going to multiply that $10 pretty quickly, so it doesn't really matter. If you can only afford to risk $10 right now, then that is all that you should put in. Once it's gone (if it's gone) play freerolls.

$10 is plenty of money to start with. I would play 2-3 $1-3 tourneys. If you look at both ACR and bovada you can catch good value games. If you do lose it all like the others said there are plenty of cc freerolls to get you started again.

I don't believe that good bankroll management is necessary to be a good poker player. There's a thin difference between a good player and a successful player, and while BR management is important to being successful, it is possible to become good without it.

Anyways, what really matters is how much that $10 really means to you, for example, that's 5 buy ins for .01/.02 (which supposedly Stars is looking into getting rid of). Five buy ins is not really enough to practice good BR management as a bad downswing can lead to you losing five BIs in minutes. However, if you are willing to redeposit and the original $10 is not the entire extent of your deposited bankroll, you'll be able to continue playing regardless.

If you are truly set on using BR management, you should probably play micro sit n gos so swings don't have a massive effect on your BR.

I like a bankroll of 100x the buy-in.
Ten dollars in my experience will evaporate quickly, just one bad down swing and you can kiss it god-bye.

For cash games I typically suggest at least 30 buyins these days. At NL2 (the very lowest stake) this would be $60.

I think depends on how many buy - ins
not how much dollars

if you play NL1000, 10 is not a bankroll
but if you play limit 2, I think 10 is bankroll.

10$ is a great place to start if that is all your willing to play with in a Br at a time or you won a free roll and now have 10$ in the bank, you can quickly double that playing small stack ring games or playing a few 2 or 3$ tournaments that could profit 5 times your starting BR. All depends on how much you want to win and how much your willing to risk to make money.

I would try to find some $1.10 buy in mtt's. Otherwise .01/.02 tables and hope to accumulate some player points before your funds run out.

It is a small bankroll, but with the right buy-in decisions progressively you can multiply it.

I saw a marathon where the player on the dispute within 15 days increased from $10 bankroll up to $1000. I think for a good player is $10 bankroll, bad player and will lose $10 000 :)

If you stay to the lowest of buy ins you may have enough to run it up before variance eats it up. GL!

10$ is not yet enough of a bankroll to survive the variance of poker. You may be alright, be you just as easily may go bust. 2,500 BB is a good general rule of thumb. So you'd want to a minimum of $50 at $0.01/$0.02, and stay at that limit until you build your bankroll to $125 (2,500 BB at $0.02/$0.05)

You can multiply it if you play the right way, with patience
