Back in the stone age when I first started playing online we had paypal, til they stopped doing business with poker rooms. Then there was Netteller, til they died. Is there a service now for transferring money between rooms ?

sorry, I misread your post.
Have no idea if you are able to transfer money between different rooms.

I initially thought you were looking on how to transfer your money onto a poker site.

I did this; Withdrew via BITCOIN from site 'A', deposited via BITCOIN to site 'B'. Over the course of a few months, I did that 4 or 5 times.

Not quite as clean as Netteller was, but it works.

I would agree with dj11, crypto is your best bet, it's also cheaper....most rooms do not charge a fee to withdraw through crypto

Bitcoin or some other form of Cryptocurrency is your only way in US.

If you were not in US you could use an ewallet like neteller, Skrill, Ecopayz or entropay.

Hello.
I recommend that you use the Skrill payment system.
I am very pleased with this system, and I have no problem with the withdrawal of funds.

I have to agree that Bitcoin is probably the best way to move money around from one site to another or into a your bank account.

There is no such system of transfers. I advise you to use bitcoin, since they have the lowest commission in this particular mound. The only thing that I advise you to act quickly and for a long time is not to detain large sums of money there, because of the instability of the course of the Crypto-currency, there is a possibility of losing some of the amount. Exactly like the chance to make a profit without doing anything. In general, quick transfers are the most stable option.

Thank y'all, I hadn't even considered cryptocurrencies. Based on what I have read about them I thought I would never be involved with them, but I guess just to transfer money is safe. Also, as a treehugger I am concerned with the bizarre quantity of electricity the system uses.
Does anyone have a general sense of how long transfers take ? If I pull money back to my visa card and then deposit there is a 5-6 day lag.

Neteller was easy. Ewallet express would give money away for using it. Usemywallet was awesome. Now gone back to a check in the mail.

The process will most likely go like this;

-Deposit $$ to your crypto wallet (here you are buying crypto)
verification shouldn't take long.

-Using the wallet, you deposit at the site of your choice. (This process was confusing to me, but I blundered thru). Verification from the site shouldn't take long.

Play poker and win.

Withdrawal; Poker site/Cashier > withdraw > choose crypto of your choice > deposit that in your Crypto wallet.

Unless you are planning on investing in cryptos for a long haul, I suggest you don't leave your assets in the wallet for very long. Either deposit it to another site, or deposit it into your bank account.

The company that you open your crypto wallet with will be the company that verifies the transactions, and converts the crypto into a $$ equivalence for the deposit into your bank account.

poker sites generally don't charge anything for either end of the process, the Wallet company will typically charge a little. These fees are small.

If you leave your assets in the wallet very long, you run the risk of market fluctuations eating at the value of your cryptos. They might increase in value overnight! But since the December '17 peak the trend has been mostly down (losing value). This becomes a fee of sorts if the value today is less than it was yesterday.

There will be new terminology involved. And some of it won't make a lot of sense, it didn't for me at first. You might read the term HODL... this was from a drunk guy who couldn't spell HOLD. There are other concepts that I think hinder the wider acceptance of cryptos. Mostly in how a transaction is handled. With cash I take money out of my wallet to buy goods or services. So I think 'buy'. That simple concept is not apparent in how a crypto transaction occurs. At least it didn't in January of this year when I did most of my balancing.

If you are a thinking human being, you will probably want/(need) to understand cryptos more deeply. In reality, you don't need to, it is working these days. You didn't need to understand electricity to use your transistor radio did you?

Neteller died??? Oh man I have 20 Dollars on my account there, never being able to do their silly verification process. As far as I know, SKRILL is just the same company, they have the same support. I am convinced they gain their money more from deposited dead money than by transfers.
Be careful!!!
I'm down to pokerstars, becz they offer a bank transfer, all the other cryptocrap is like sending your hard earned money to the Nirvana!!!
