I was wondering if anyone knows a reliable site that offers transfer from a poker room to paypal account. I need money on my paypal account, but my neteller card is not working on paypal anymore, so, the only way that I have to put money on my paypal account is by transfering from a poker room.

A tough goal. If you are in the U.S. ... forget it. Paypal Terms of Service do not allow ANY gaming/gambling activity on U.S. accounts. Paypal WILL close your account without notice if they find you using it for gaming activity. (It's in their rules that you agreed to).

If you are outside the U.S. ... Paypal gaming activity 'may' be possible, depending on the site and whether it has been approved by that country's Paypal service.

I don't know of any sites that offer this. As for P2P, this can only be done with someone you trust very much. Transfers can be reversed if disputed, and Paypal tends to side with those that initiate disputes. So you can be scammed easily.

Really? I didn't knew it that paypal tend to the side of who start the dispute. It's a good thing to know, because I can't trust in everyone who offer me a trade.

PayPal doesn't allow any gambling-related transactions, and I'm pretty sure that's worldwide, not just US.

Otherwise, PayPal themselves are entirely trustworthy, and who they "side with" in a dispute depends largely on the parties involved among a ton of other factors. I've been with them for 7+ years now, through tens of thousands of transactions (eBay, P2P, and PP debit card which I use daily), and never once had an issue that wasn't resolved in my favor.

Paypal DOES allow use in some other countries for gaming/gambling activities. Mostly in Europe iirc. The U.S. version of Paypal has a clause in their Acceptable Use Policy that explains their stance and even mentions that it IS possible in some jurisdictions. One of the 'prohibited uses' in the U.S. Paypal Use Policy ....

involve gambling, gaming and/or any other activity with an entry fee and a prize, including, but not limited to casino games, sports betting, horse or greyhound racing, lottery tickets, other ventures that facilitate gambling, games of skill (whether or not it is legally defined as a lottery) and sweepstakes unless the operator has obtained prior approval from PayPal and the operator and customers are located exclusively in jurisdictions where such activities are permitted by law.

There's a previous thread from a few months ago where one of our CC members even identified some of them.

Good to know Nick. As many times as I've read that policy and seen that exception you bolded, you'd think I'd have remembered it, lol.

I was referring specifically to transactions that can be linked to gambling (in the US) . The scam has been done countless times -- Send Paypal for Poker funds, initiate dispute and link the transaction to gambling (e.g. "I was trading poker funds and got scammed"). Since this goes against terms of use, the funds are returned to original sender.

I use Paypal for non-poker stuff, or for transferring funds with people I know and trust, and I find it generally useful. But not for this.

OP asked and answer. CC does not allow P2P transfer threads and I'm closing this thread so it doesn't become one.
