Prepaid cards are a bit tricky to choose. Some work, some don't, some work sometimes, and others never work. I think the most important thing to check is that the card can be used for international purchases and that it can be used for online purchases. The other problem I have with prepaid cards is the fees associated with them. To be honest, i don't really understand why anyone chooses to use them. They seem to be a headache if you ask me.
I understand that you don't want to use your bank account to deposit but there are other methods besides bank account and prepaid cards. The method i like to use more than any other is Money Transfer. Most people think you need to go to a Western Union location or a MoneyGram location to make the transfer but that's not true. You can make the transfer from your computer just like you would with your debit card on any other online site. The set up can be a bit confusing the first time you do it but after that its smooth sailing. I guess it also depends on what site you are playing on. I play on Carbon and the Money Transfer option there is reliable. Plus there are no transaction fees. When you purchase the Money Transfer you get charged a $5 fee but Carbon credits your account the 5 dollars once the money arrives. I have found Western Union to be more reliable then MoneyGram.
Out of all the options for getting money into my account Prepaid cards are at the bottom of my list.
I've done a ton of research and tests on the subject so if you have any questions about it feel free to ask.
