I deposit to poker rooms by skrill, and withdraw by Skrill, too.
There is no problem before, may be 20~30 dollars is ok.
When i withdraw more than 80 dollars, i was required to sent Passport.
Don't you think it's a risky behavior to give your passport to others?
Can poker room make sure to keep your information safe ?

It's okay to send a photocopy of your passport. Of the administration need to make sure you are a real person. If so I'm afraid I can specially program to hide the passport number. The main thing to see your name, photo, date of birth and residential address.

poker room was originally tested in all committees. So you need not worry for their passport data of 100%. They do it for your own safety

I never sent a copy of my passport, usually they offer others options of docs that you can send. But, I never heard of someone having problems sending docs to poker rooms.

Poker rooms have to verify your identity so in order to do that, you need to provide them an ID.
If the poker room is a trusted one, for example 888poker/pokerstars you have nothing to worry.
I did that too and nothing happened, they just verify you.

It is nice they check when you wish to withdraw and call it a security requirement, but has anyone had to verify their account prior to depositing. Issues only become issues when you wish to withdraw, you could deposit for ever and they'll never request id ..............Passport check is safe with genuine sites

Everest poker was close. I deposited maybe 20 $ BUT i didn´t even want to withdraw anything yet. Still they did not let me play w/o proving identity etc. This was years ago though. Don´t know if Everest even exists anymore. Oh, and they let me play for a few weeks or so and then suddenly stop.

For poker room it is perfectly OK to send ID documents.

There are other sites, similar to cardschat in character, like bankroll mob - these guys want your ID too. If one would refuse to give em ID photocopy, I couldnt blame them.

:D , OK, i keep on playing poker, as soon as i accumulate enough bankroll to let me want to take the risk.:p

Ask them if you can verify by other proof.
I dont have a passport and needed a 100 point check to verify.
Eg - licence, marriage cert.
Im sure they will have alternative ways of doing this.
