It would probably help you to get an informative answer if you were a little more precise about exactly which region of planet earth you reside

I'm not exactly sure what that has to do with anything to do with my question. Do they take a prepaid visa gift card on a deposit or not?

You need to register ur gift card with ur name on it online. It will work. It has for me on merge and cake network. I have successfully done it on PDC, Carbon, Cake and Intertopps. If I dont win a roll on Black Chip Poker I will do it on there for the Cardschat $$$ added games there. Sweet deal there I cant pass up.

Does anyone know where you can buy an international prepaid visa? I have purchased the ones by PayPower and those ReloadIT packs and they don't work on Merge network, although they did work on Bovada.

I would try netspend.com visa. They have locations everywhere and I have used them on Merge and many other sites.

Merge is a gaming company that hosts many different "skins" of the same traffic.
Each skin such as

Carbon poker
Black chip poker
Lock poker

These are all Apart of MERGE however, they are run by different companies.

Like subway. There are a ton of them, each 1 is actually owned by someone who bought the rights. But they all got the rights from the main subway corp.

Hope this made sense :)

Very strange thing happened on Sunday, I tried depositing on Lock Poker and was denied. Then I got an email From Lock Poker saying that they had an alternate method of processing Visa through the Lock Casino that might work and I am allowed to transfer casino money to poker, so I go there and deposit and the Visa works without issue and then I transfer the money to Lock Poker and bingo I'm playing. So why the hell don't they just use the same visa processing for poker instead of making us jump through hoops???

A little disheartening reading this thread about using the Int'l Visa. Because some people say "sure, no problem worked great for me", then someone else says "tried that, didn't work for me". Makes ya think about just maybe sitting back and waiting till it all becomes legal. Then again, at 95 years old I wont be able to read the cards

Also a good tip if you want to deposit on a site. a lot of them also have casinos and have found it easier sometimes to deposit on the casino side than transfer to poker account. Paticullarly on the weekends when it seems it is harder to deposit.

I just ordered a Walmart pre-paid Visa card. I will try a deposit into Merge next week and post the outcome here. Fingers are crossed!

Yeah, I know Intertops is in the Cake Poker network but I hope that it's as easy as a Vanilla VISA gift card every time. I was going to buy one of the pre-paid ones from Walmart if the Vanilla one didnt work

Its been a few months since I have made a deposit on Merge (BCP) but I used Western Union and it was easy, the money appeared in my account in less than an hour after I made the deposit, have they stopped using WU ?

I just checked on Merge, BCP to be exact and they still take WU but $100 is the minimum deposit.

Pretty funny - I had used my Netspend visa for poker room deposits for quite a while; one day last year they actually mailed me through the postal service (snail mail) and said you can't use your Netspend card for gambling any more!

Looks like they're looking the other way! I think they just sent that letter out to cover their gluteus maximuses!

Did you use a netspend card or a regular visa credit card? Also, were you able to use a poker bonus code or did they only let you use a casino code?

I'm thinking about depositing on Lock and am trying to find the easiest way to deposit.

I used a regular Visa. You can't enter the poker bonus code at the time you deposit through the Casino, but if you email support afterwards telling them you were forced to deposit through the casino and then transfer to poker because you were denied depositing through the poker site, they will apply any valid poker bonus code to your account for you afterwards.
