Try the Credit Union. I've never cashed out to the Credit Union but have many friends who have regularly (I've always used skrill.... sigh)

If you're just looking to make a fast, smaller deposit, visa GiftCards work & come in denominations of $25, $50, $100 & $200 (there's ~3-5% fee when you purchase the card & you can buy them in many locations > 7-11, ShoppersDrugMart, etc.). Deposit is immediate (although you should wait ~1hr. after getting the card before you use it).

I use instadebit and I've never had a problem. I also have a PC (President's Choice) mastercard that has for sure worked with 888 and party poker. I've never tried it with Pokerstars.

You can always buy Ukash vouchers...

RBC's charges a flat fee of around $5.00 (I don't remember exactly) for their Visa GiftCards and you can load/reload any time. The limit is also much higher than $200.

Do they work on many sites? (Visa GiftCards stopped working for me on most sites, many years ago)

I don't know about many sites. I only deposited @PokerStars. I had to call support and do it over the phone though.

Rbc , scotia bank credit or debit card do not work on pokerstars. The only bank credit card that works on stars for me is CIbC but there's a $5 fee that cibc charge for gambling. I uses entropay, it's very easy and I can use all my credit cards to fund my entro pay account and I find the fee reasonable , you get charged about $2 for every 20 . It's cheaper than cibc and any gift card fees. Also for cash out I deposited one time on stars with echeck so they have all my info saved and every time I withdraw now it just goes to my echeck directly to my bank account. Also petro canada sells the gift card that works on stars. Not sure what it's called but used to use the 25 one to deposit before I got credit cards.

Yeah CIBC Visa works, but they charge a $5 cash advance fee plus interest I believe. So if you want to deposit $20 on Pokerstars, just pay your credit card bill a day or two in advance plus the $20, which will give you a credit. Then deposit. This will avoid the fee and interest. At least for me it does.

I also use echecks. It does work with CIBC. This is the easiest and fastest way to deposit & withdraw.

Really that's cool abt cibc, didn't know that. echeck is great but takes 2days to clear before you can withdraw your winnings.

Fwiw, intertops suggests Instadebit. I don't have an account, but from what I've been told, they charge $1 for each deposit to a poker site. Withdrawals from sites to your account are free, and from your account to your bank are $2 each time.

From the sounds of that ^ the MasterCard GiftCard is far simpler to use for deposits.

I used both rbc and cibc for cash out and I never got a call from them. I usually cash out small amounts though, not sure if it would be an issue for larger amounts, maybe someone else can pitch in

Also I donno if this is relavant to your question or not but in order to use echeck for cash out you have to make a deposit with that bank first and pokerstars request me to fax them my bank statement , void check showing my name address and account info.

The best CC (lowest fees) I have found is the CanadaPost Visa Gift card (buy at any postal outlet):

Rates & prices
For Load Value__Load fee
$25 - $49.99 ____$3.95
$50 - $99.99 ____$4.95
$100 - $149.99 __$5.95
$150 - $250 ____ $6.95
Other Fees: Amount Foreign Currency Fee 2.5%

Key points:
-normal CC GC's cost $3.95 for $25, CanadaPost you can get up to $49.99 for that.
-normal CC GC's have a monthly maintenance charge after it's first use (can be $2 a month), CanadaPost has no monthly charge until the card expires (which is like 2 years later, and even then you can transfer the balance to a new card I believe to avoid it)

This is a gift card, not a prepaid card (ie. can only load it once I believe)

That being said, I don't know if this will work on Stars. I used one to deposit on Intertops some time ago. Skrill has been my main goto, but is sadly leaving us. I know I've used my BMO Mastercard to deposit on Stars in the past (+2years ago) and it did charge as a cash advance (good tip Mootso!).

Edit: Oups....."Note: Not for use at ATMs, for online gambling or for preauthorized payments. Online acceptance at all websites cannot be guaranteed due to varying security levels."

I found at least one Canadian visa card that you can still deposit and withdraw your money from an online casino it's a Visa from the Laurentian Bank. Forget RBC or Scotia they refuse. Maybe other banks that offer visa would also work; one would have to check them all, like TD, Imperial Bank, Chase, etc. (see list below of Canadian banks that offer visa cards)

I usually just use entropay.

When cashing out just block your deposit methods(entropay card), and use echeck to cashout to your bank account(I use TD and they do not block withdrawals via this method) .

Have never tried to deposit using echecks not sure if that would work or not.

How do you cashout using 'echecks' without depositing via that method prior?

I just get them to block the card that I used to deposit which means no more deposits/withdrawals via that method and then they allow me to withdraw through echeck.
