Opinions on best place to deposit

Hi, I intend to make a deposit of around $75 I play on pokerstars and 888. I would like to hear from forum members on which site would be the best to deposit to and what games to play in. I want my money to be safe, to have good game play and be able to withdraw when necessary. This will not be my first deposit as i used to play at both sites in the past so first deposit bonuses won't apply Thanks brianj

If you're making first time deposit there are a lot of benefits on Pokerstars, and otherwise if i would choose between this 2 sites i would always go for Pokerstars. Pokerstars software is really good and easy for understanding. There are a lot of tournaments i would suggest you to start with playing SnG tournaments 3.5$ - 5$. You can play some bounty builder MTTs aswell.

I also prefer PokerStars. Here, the choice of tournaments and tables is very large and the lack of players is less felt. The withdrawal of money for PokerStars is also easier and faster.

I would go with Pokerstars but there is no reload bonus currently available.

The type of games to play depends on what you like to play. There are many different types of formats and games available on Stars. There are alot more players on Stars so bigger prize pools for mtt and always action on cash games and sng. There is a wider range of games on Stars not just holdem. Just stay on the lower buyins so you can get most games.

Regarding deposits and withdrawals I would recommend both because these two are probably the best.Also,try playing at both and then decide which one is better for you.

Hello Brian,
I'm a USA player so I can't play the cash games on PokerStars, and the sites I play on are limited. Right now I have deposited on BetOnline and Americas Cardroom.

I really like BetOnline because the player pool is REALLY, REALLY small, but they had A LOT OF ISSUES with the site going down and not being able even log on for about 4 weeks recently so I am waiting around to make sure the site is running good before I go to playing in the cash games again. I was at 3 tables during the last 5 weeks when the game just quit and froze up on me. And It was impossible to get back online.

So I read all about Americas Card Room here on CardsChat.
Then I downloaded the game and played the site for about a week on the play money tables BEFORE DEPOSITING.

I like the site. And they have a GREAT promotion package right now for 1st time depositors. That "20 days free cash" is just that too. Everyday you go to the bonus page and it will show you a playing card. You click on the playing card and you WIN between $1 to $6 a day for 20 days, UP TO the $50 amount. IT WORKS.
I am only half way through the 20 days, and I have hit it everyday to get the free money.
AND...the 100% deposit bonus is unlocking at a better rate than I thought it would with just a $50 deposit that I made to check the site out.
AND...that $250 1st time deposit Freeroll is not a GREAT tournament, but it has a small player pool, and ..it is $250 payout.

I hope one day PokerStars is able to take USA players in the cash games, but I expect it to be years down the road. So I have only a few sites to choose from.

Out of the 3 sites ...so far I really like the ACR site the best for all the different games.

I will warn you though...the SNG Ring games at the low and micro levels do not have a lot of players in them. You may find that just getting on a table at those levels will mean you have to join a waiting list. But that usually on lasts for a few minutes before you are offered the seat on the table. ACR seems to be a great site. I would suggest looking in the Threads here on CardsChat and reading about withdrawing issues.
I haven't tried it yet, so I can't give you an opinion on it, other than what I have read here on this site.

AND......
BetOnline is a real good site for SNG Ring games and tournaments if you like a small player field. I just don't fully trust the site yet after all the issues of it not being up and running recently.

If safety is your primary concern then yes, poker stars and 888 Poker are good choices. [As long as you are not an American though, due to political issues]

Another safe choice is party poker, I am confident that many others will give you their opinions, but these three sites have been around for a very long time and there has never really been any issues in the deposits and withdrawals on these sites.

It depends what do you want. If you want to clear bonus, or you want some another bonus, for example tickets, extra cash ...

I think a good idea is to write to online chat in party poker during the deposit. Usually thay offer you something during the deposit. I respond that it‘s not so good and they offered me something better.

You should do your research. Personally, I like ACR/BCP. They seem legit and generous(several times deposited $10-40 on my account)

I have 888Poker and Pokerstars. I find it very difficult to make a deposit because I do not have any credit card. Also I am in Papua New Guinea and Indonesia, and the bank won't wire to gaming. Any suggestions?

Both sites are good for deposit. At Pokerstars your money is surely safe. You can withdraw at least $ 10 at any time. I didn't make a deposit at 888, but I think it's also good. It is better to start playing from the cache 1-2 dollars or from the SnG tournaments with buy-in 0,25-0,50 dollar. Good luck!
