Hi all, just a heads up. I received an email from Moneybookers this week regarding fees. Commencing late August, there will be a $1.50 PER MONTH fee deducted from 'active' accounts. Active is described as having been used in the previous 18 months. I am withdrawing all my funds and switching to Click2pay. ;)

Hey, thanks for the steer. I received an email from Moneybookers about changes to terms and conditions, but ignored it because it looked boring. It obviously contained this sting in the tail. I'm going to have to move my cash to Neteller.

I've just got round to checking this. The actual terms and conditions say

SERVICE FEE

Non-business accounts will be charged a monthly service fee of 1.50 USD (or equivalent). The fee will be waived and thus the usage of the Moneybookers service is FREE if the user has logged into the account or made a transaction in the last 18 months. Otherwise the service fee will be deducted monthly from the account balance.

So if you have used your account in the past 18 months no service fee will be charged.

I guess I should have read my email as well, Which one of the above is right?

My one is a direct quote from the Moneybookers T&Cs - so it should be right.
