Does anyone know where exactly the best place to buy international pre-paid visa's are? I've looked all over gas stations, Walmart, Walgreens, and many more places. Finding the cards is not the hard part they are all over, but they all seem to be for U.S. use only. It is very frustrating!!! Thanks in advance!!!

I bought mine at Walmart. It's a Walmart Visa Debit card. It's the kind that is issued by Green Dot Bank. You can reload it at any Walmart, and many other places. Mine has worked at every poker site I go to, and it is an international card. After you sign up it takes about 7-10 days to get your card with your name on it. Hope this helps you. I was frustrated too looking for the right card myself. This one works.

I purchased a readydebit visa card from the dollar store. 3 dollar fee, register online to activate and make sure your info matches the site your loading on. There may be a fee from the site so for a $100 card I loaded $95. This card has a monthly fee so to avoid it I use it up quick. It went through no problem and showed as a coffee purchase. Lol. Save the card for withdrawal purposes.

I just opened a separate account at my bank for poker transfers or online use and keep my gambling funds or play money there and separate accounts for business and personal. and they give you a visa debit card to use

I did something similar before for online cigar purchases. Wifey works at a bank and I got her to get me a Visa with a real low limit so if it did get hacked, they're not getting anything worthwhile.

Now with Poker, I use Vanilla Gift MCs, easily available locally at a pharmacy and supermarket.

I've checked the Green Dot cards out but don't they require a SSN...I might be mistaken about that...I am trying to avoid giving my SSN out but if I must I will.

If you're looking for like the international prepaid VISA gift cards where you just buy it and can start using it without having to sign up for anything, they don't sell those anymore (or at least in California). This goes for AMEX also.

There's not a lot of gift cards left for poker in the u.s. Green dot does not work. I looked almost everywhere for international card when I was there but no luck. I had to deposit via western union or wire transfer, very expensive.you can research online to see what cards other players are using, you might get lucky to find one available where you live. Good luck

Western Union

I see there is an option to send money online via western union. Just have to make an account with WU and use debit/credit card to purchase. WU will send money available for pickup at an agent. I ordered a netspend visa and an AMEX reloadables and will post the effectiveness of them once they arrive. :icon_salu

Home Depot

I just bought and loaded a Paypower Visa at Home Depot and successfully deposited onto Carbon. Not sure if everyone's feet are getting cold for the Merge network but here is some fresh up to date info for yas :)

You can buy one at Walgreens, just make sure it does not say "For Domestic Use Only". You have to really check the card thoroughly to make sure...The fee is a bit higher than the domestic card-like 6 bucks instead of 5....::)

Hey thanks for this - I went on the paypower site and it tells you where you can buy cards in your area. I just went down to Safeway and got one, came home and activated/registered.. Deposit on carbon went through no problem. I haven't even played online for about 5 years ! woot woot .. Don't even get me started about this Nanny state gov and the fact that we even have to jump through these f'n hoops to do what we want to do with our own gd money.... anyway -- thought this up to date info may be of use to someone.

Oh.. also- I almost bought the greendot visa earlier - but that plainly says US only on it.

My experience

I stated earlier that I purchased the prepaid readydebitvisa which I used on Bovada but did not work on Carbon. I recently purchased the paypower visa which definately worked on Carbon. I did a prepaid visa deposit, not a cash transfer. It asked many questions about previous address, vehicle purchase and county of origin. If you are apprehensive about disclosing information than this is not the way to go. After a few questions it went right through which was not the case before with readydebit on Carbon. Hope this helps. Yes, I'm in the USA.

I think that the two best prepaid cards are... greendot and netspend... with myvanilla coming in way last.... only reason I say that is that the customer service is horrible, but to each his/her own

i buy the Vanilla version of the MC gift card at 7-11.... a $25cdn card costs me about $28... and i can put the whole $25 to my poker account....

the Vanilla version of the Visa takes off a fee, so if i have a $30 card i have to enter $28 in the deposit amount for it to work....

so, i buy the MC version of the Vanilla card.... comes in 25/50/100...

by comparison, if i use my own MC to put $25 on my poker account MC charges me an extra $5 for converting the currency, which is a rip-off... so it costs me $30 to put $25.....

the gift cards are a better way to add money.... and, safer imo

International Visa Cards

All the visa debit cards I've located in the grocery store can be preloaded at the checkout stands. The problem I have encountered is that they can only be used inside the United States when reading the reverse side of them. Will those cards work for online deposits with the out of country poker sites?Or must I go to a bank and open an account with them to achieve my goals to deposit? Not interested in Western Union because of the high fees. Need some guidance.

If I am able to deposit from Russia with Visa debit without problem, why should you have any problems with it from the USA? Almost all rooms accept deps with Visa.

Im in oklahoma. I use netspend. Its 3.95 to load it and u can get it at cvs or walgreens. It does cost 1 buck per transaction. U get a different card in the mail with your name on it if u sign up for a card on the website. Gl

Netspend Visa is the WTG

Mr. Spiral is right! I am in Mississippi and the least expensive way to get funds to my card room is my Netspend Visa Card. My bonus is that I purchased my card at my local walmart and reloads on the card are free!!!!! (Only that specific walmart tho) I then buy a cash voucher through a link on my deposit page. Good Luck.

I would suggest opening a bank account because you don't have to deal with the fees that you see above. Nor do you need to drive to a store to reload your account (hopefully you would build a huge bankroll :))

They cut the netspend cards that you could use anywhere a few years ago. It was super convenient for me because that's typically what I got for my birthday from relatives. So don't waste your time going from store to store to find them. They just won't work.

So again, I would open a bank account for less fees but if you are concerned with a site maybe knowing your account history (sending in a bank statement etc.) I would then go with the prepaid greendot or netspend. That way all (hopefully one) transactions would only be through them and that would be your way of verifying your account for payout.

Hope this helps, feel free to PM me if you need to. :)
