Hey all, I have had the fortune of cashing out from ignition Casino twice within the last month. The first withdrawal was via check by courier, the second was via Bitcoin transfer. I know on my first withdrawal I was Googling expected timeframes, which brought me to this site initially, and I figured I would post about my experience; so that those after me might know what to expect, and what may or may not lie outside the norm. I do live in the US and bank at a major bank (old-west themed horse-drawn carriage).

Check by courier: So my initial withdrawal request for check by courier took about 48 hours to be processed by Ignition, from 'requested' to 'processed'. Ignition sent me an email telling me it had been processed, and that it would take an average of 10 business days for it to be delivered to my address. It took them 13 business days, roughly 19 days in total, to have the check on my doorstep. I emailed them constantly, but all I got in response was 'try our Bitcoin option!' and '10 business days is the average'. In retrospect they were fairly close to their time-frame, which I can respect, but it did almost take me 3 weeks to receive my money.

Once my check was on its way, it was easily tracked by the shipping service. My check came from a Singapore bank that also had a US address. I tracked the check from Singapore to my doorstep, had text alerts and the whole nine yards. From my reading it looked like people were having trouble cashing it because the numbers were different from American banking numbers. Knowing this, I took it directly to my own bank because it didn't seem like a check cashing service would work. The package it's delivered in comes with a note that reads along the lines of "you can't directly cash this check, please take it to an ATM or teller and deposit it". I took it to my bank and I had zero issue depositing part of it and cashing another part of it. It was seamless. Now this was only a couple of days ago so there is a possibility that they bounce the check, but I was given cash on hand and my bank account reflected the deposit immediately. There was no hold. So all in all it took 19 total days from cash-out request to money in my hand, my bank took the check with no issues.

Bitcoin Withdrawal: I requested my withdrawal via Bitcoin in the morning, and about 16 hours later it was processed and the Bitcoin was in my wallet. I transferred the money from my wallet to the exchange instantly, and cashed out soon after. My current payout is processing and because it's trending towards the weekend, I got a message saying my money should be in my account on Monday, and usually dealing with ACH means 1-3 business days so that makes sense. I was told by the exchange I should see my money Monday. However, between the receiving of Bitcoin, and selling/cashing out the Bitcoin, I lost about $25, from the volatile worth of Bitcoin and fees.

Bottom line: Check by courier has no fees, but only for the first check. Bitcoin is much faster, but you have to pay fees. If I had to do it again, Bitcoin all the way, I want my money and I want it now! Both ways worked, but Bitcoin offers more of a seamless and timely transition. However, this was my first time using Bitcoin and I was petrified of sending my money to the wrong place.

Advice: Use BreadWallet (as recommended by Ignition) to receive your coin, use CoinExchange to transfer funds. I am a millenial and I sill found myself thinking "how does this new-fangled Bitcoin all work?". Breadwallet and CoinExchange gave me the opportunity to seamlessly copy and paste my addresses to receive my funds via the iphone Apps. Always double check you have the right addresses, but they're pretty good at verifying you have a valid address. Read up on how to buy/sell Bitcoin.

Good write up. I used to use courier checks before bitcoin was an option. I probably had 6 out of 30 checks that had some kind of issue. Either cancelled, or took a long time to arrive. Once they added bitcoin, I've used that and never had an issue. Crypto is the way to go.

thanks for the update! Still 19 days isn't terrible for cash in hand. could be better, could be worse.

Ignition Fees??

With the Bitcoin transfer - how much in fees were charged ??

I withdrew via bitcoin yesterday and there were no fees charged.

I withdrew $20 and by the time the transfer was complete - I had $20.27 spendable in my JAXX wallet.
