first you need a digital wallet, you can register one for free at blockchain.info. it's like paypal for bitcoins
then you find somewhere that you can buy bitcoins from. coinbase ...where ever. your wallet has it's own unique address looks something like this : 1845wWq8158teAsJzbeDPJsQzLtdkfhcxZ

when you purchase the btc , they will ask where to send them, give them your wallet address. make transaction , bitcoins are in your digital wallet.
got to poker site that accepts bitcons, they will ask you how much you want to deposit , then they give you an address where to send it. open your wallet on blockchain, put in poker sites address, transfer funds

this is what the transfer funds page looks like on blockchain

had to do multiple post because my # of characters per post is limited

not hard once you get verified by the company buying them from you, if you are trying to make sure you are dealing with somebody legit.

company verifies you > you sell them BTC > they charge you a certain percent > transfer funds

i worked for a company for a few years that paid my housing expenses and during that time i had a few miners going. computer equipment that runs programs over and over and over again and over time creates bit coins. the best mark up on them selling wise was on ebay. lets say market value was .01btc = $10usd , that same .01btc would sell on ebay for $15 all day. i quit fooling with them this last time that the price crashed. at one time 1 BTC was trading for over $1100. trading right now for $235.6 on btc-e.com

btc-e.com was the easiest site for me to deal with. here are their current exchange rates and where they can send your withdrawal. says it normally takes 72 hours, but exchanging cryptocurrencies is normally instantaneous.

I use 'coinbase, inc.' Same deal as Bradfordzillia mentions above. It is secure. Maybe even more than other secure direct-to-account sites that transfer funds. The 72 hour processing does seem a bit much because we get so used to snap-instant anything. I do like that it processes the 'sale of bitcoin' directly to my personal checking. It sounds tougher than it actually is. It's just something we wouldn't have thought about having to do in the past. Think about how daunting the internet may have seemed when yahoo was boss years ago! Now, my 3 year old can open up chrome and pick from hulu, netflicks or PBS kids.

Think of it as buying online gold for trading. It is then accepted as currency to certain purchasers. I do not have to actually sell the bitcoin myself to coinbase (as I imagine the others do also) for the going rate. They are not going to reject the sale.

IF you have your paperwork together and want to do it. Ask questions and be sure everything is set up the way you want it. It's about the money! It deserves 30 minutes to an hour of attention.

* Also mentioned above the price fluctuates in pretty good sized swings. pay attention to what the market is doing when you cash out or deposit with bitcoin. My suggestion would be to buy them and as soon as they are available for trade do so! same with withdraws. that way your buying and selling with a narrow margin of time limiting action for the prices to change.
