How much bitcoin do I need to play?

I am completely new to bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I've watched some tutorials. What I'm really wondering is simple.

Let's say I buy 500$ worth of bitcoin. I think it said it'd be worth .051 bitcoin.

If I deposit on something like ignition, how does that work exactly? (Forget any fees so we can just have a round number). I would deposit .051 bitcoins and Ignition would add $500 to my account?

When you deposit with bitcoin the pokersite will convert your bitcoin to dollars for you to play with.
