Tried to deposit on multiple poker sites tonight (ACR, Carbon. Juicy) and all visa cards need to be approved for international use. This is dissapointing and hopefully at some point this will change. It is for sure almost impossible to deposit on a U.S poker site. Anyone else have any other sites that accept regualr VISA cards?

You need an international VISA card or international gift card, from what i've heard.
I don't use CC's, i build up BRs from 0.00.

I would go to twoplustwo or pocketfives and look for the p2p transfer thread. I find that the best and easiest option if you can trust other players.

Bovada. Any CC or bankcard that I have will work as long as it's a visa.

I have never deposited on ACR so I don't know about there.

Yeah western union or moneygram would be the options I would be using these days. I believe most sites refund the fee and you can do the transfer online without leaving the house. Just make sure you enter the details correctly.

I had no problem depositing $$$ on ACR

It may have something to do with the state you live in, i heard there are like 3 or 4 states that will attempt to block visa transactions, but like i said mine went right through and im in Iowa.

no matter where u go itll be declined if it isnt for international use...they arent hard to find. most banks have visa gift cards thatll approve, netspend is the best way because easy to buy reload packs near u and they will never fail on most sites

+1. this is not as much of a hassle as depositing. even though i don't think WU would end up being a bad option.

Yes, this works. Be careful and read all the rules though. New accounts not following the rules can be infracted and/or banned immediately. Also, be careful of your trading partners.... look up their posts, get a feel for their reputation, search the threads for previous successful transactions... PROTECT YOURSELF :)

Bovada. Any CC or bankcard that I have will work as long as it's a visa.

Not necessarily true. Due to the nature of accepting online gaming transactions, all US facing sites have some issues. No one really gets above 70% CC processing, and most are well below that currently.

there is also western union too

This works 100%. Typically it's to a foreigner with a strangish name in S America or East Asia, but it gets the job done. Some sites will even credit your deposit fees to your player account if you deposit larger amounts.... and ask nicely :)

Visa cards are definitely a no go, if you are a US citizen planning on playing from the U.S. I am a US citizen and have only deposited to ACR and Western Union is the way to go. Just go to an agent location in your town, i dont think it works online.

Disclaimer.. Playing from the United States is a sketchy process. When i deposited to ACR, the first time, it took approximately 5 hours for my money to get onto my account. On the western union tracking page it said that the money had been picked up but ACR's customer service seemed to keep giving me the run around as to why my money has not been deposited to my account. After hours of waiting on the supervisor there at ACR my money was found.

I just made my first deposit on bovada, I had some trouble with the prepaid credit card issue. here is the story.
I went to wal mart and bought a prepaid visa card from there put 100 on it.
I read that any visa would work,,, not the case at all.
It has to be approved for international purchases, they will not approve the temporary cards . they will mail you a permenant card that takes 5 to 10 days to reach your home. then they will approve that and you can load it again at wal mart or wherever.
I called them and they gave me a generated name to transfer it to,and I transfered it to them and called back and ten minutes later it was there.
The only thing it has to be at least one hundred dollars to do a western union and the fee is ten. so not to bad really.
withdrawl from there doesnt seem to bad, other than the fees to withdrawl which seems to be around fifty bucks anywhere. but the fees have always been high, and withdrawl has never been super easy anywhere I have found .
