I recently recieved a new debit card.

My old debit card had the signs: SOLO/MAESTRO on the card and there was never a problem depositing.

My new card has the sign: visa DEBIT on the card. Since i have got this card, i have not been able to deposit any funds on pokerstars.

Can anyone help me on why it wont let me deposit:confused:

I select the visa option when proceeding to buy chips, which i dont know if is correct? As it seems that option is for visa credit cards only.

Any suggestions?

TBH i asked for help not some snidy remark.

If you read through the full post and used a little bit of common sense (which you dont have much of obviously) you would have understood it was a new replacement debit card from the bank.

He's talking about his bank issued DEBIT card.

For an actual answer to your question, Visa Debit usually never works on online poker sites. I'd say your best bet is to use the instant echeck option.

Bourbon, he's not talking about a giftcard. He's talking about his bank-issued Visa debit card (ATM card basically).

RJB, your new debit card will most likely not work. I was going to say because of the UIGEA, but then I noticed you are from Ontario, so I'm not sure why it isn't working for you.

I use the eCheck option on poker stars, simply because it has become harder for me to find All Access Visa cards to purchase, plus it's much less hassle (comes directly out of my checking account, and I can withdraw directly into my checking account as well).

Hmmm...I think perhaps that the eChecks option is not available for everyone. Definitely go with Neteller, imo.

Hmmmm, might be a US only thing then. As juice mentioned above, if you have Netteller available to you, or any other eWallet, that is also a good option as you can withdraw back into that same eWallet.

If your an non-american, then forget about e-checks, prepaid stuff and all that. Just set up Neteller, easy simple, hassle free, and pretty much the best thing you can use. Cash out of Stars tomorrow, and deposit on FT within 5 minutes, its that good.

I don't think he wasted anyones time -- he was just asking a question.

RJB: You'll probably have to wait a few days while they verify your account and stuff if you do not have one set up already.

My neteller account required some substantial ID. Including copies of a passport, utitily bill, address proof etc. It is a bank account in all intents though. Still worth the hassle, takes less than an hour to get it set up.

I cashed for over 2K in a stars tourney last week, the money was in my bank account within 4 hours, cannot really complain about that

They sent me an e-mail within seconds witha account i.d. etc.

I logged on clicked deposit, went through usual details. Then it came up something about ROYAL BANK CARD PROTECTION FOR ONLINE?? You might know what im talking about Tenbob as your from UK. When i filled this in it said we cannot proccess you deposit at this time contact such and such a number?

Any ideas? should i phone bank or that number in the morning?

Also could it be as you said my account might not actually be fully registered?

If they still have the option available, I would also suggest signing up for InstaCash on Neteller. Works much the same for depositing as eChecks does, and you don't have to keep an actual balance in your Neteller account (it comes out of your checking). There is some more verification with that, but I'm sure there is info about it on Neteller.

Pokerstars warning

Tried to deposit 1 hr ago using Visa. Pokerstars message box came up advising that deposits using Visa have been denied recently and to use other deposit method.

...simply because it has become harder for me to find All Access Visa cards to purchase,...

So I take it those cards are still working fine for the most part? I still have the reloadable I used to deposit a year ago and want to try with it again. Anyone still using these?
