Well I'm in canada, and so far I've been having a hard time trying to deposit money onto pokerstars, Carbon Poker.

Apparently credit cards have gambling restrictions, and Click2Pay gives me some kind of error.

I was thinking about using moneybookers, but I can't receive text messages although I have a cell phone.

Are there any successful ways to deposit?

Credit cards should work fine. I've used my visa for both deposit and withdrawals for months now. If it doesn't I'm sure a quick call to the bank should clear it up.

Other methods generally use your credit card and just middle-man the situation, so I don't see how it'd be any different if your card was really blocked.

Well, I just get an error when I try to use my mastercard.

Then, carbon poker sends me some kind of error output that looks like this:

----------------------------------
failed
----------------------------------

or this...

----------------------------------
Error
----------------------------------

Well you could try contacting their tech support...

Carbon will likely not help at all but stars will %100.

Just email support@pokerstars.com with your problem and the error and stuff.

Ive never had any problems depositing, or withdrawing with a credit card.

Its something wrong with your card, no canadians will be restricted from playing poker with a few exceptions like.... bodog.. you cant play there as a canadian period. Haters!

Anyone know of a credit card for Canadians, in US$? I wouldn't mind tying that into my US$ bank account so I don't end up paying exchange back and forth.

Edit: a cheap one, since I wouldn't use it much. RB has a gold one for 65$ annual fee.

Well, I used instadebit at Titan, no problems. I used V at partypoker and no problems. Pokerstars doesn't have Instadebit. Full tilt does. I've yet to withdraw money but I've had no problems depositing for what that's worth. I saw that Instadebit was a solid choice for Canadians, so that's what I used at Titan but I never saw that option at PS.
