The poker room will not allow my MC and the click2pay option states that they are not accepting US customers at this time. What is the best/safest way to get funds online? Thanks everyone

I just created an account on blackchip under the impression that I could deposit with a mastercard and received the same unfortunate news, no click2pay or MC... Help!

Hello. If you look in the link I provided, you will see plenty of answers to your question. Like you said, MC does not work on Blackchip Poker or any site in the U.S. for that matter. Sorry you had to find this out the hard way. Its not a total loss though... you do have a gift card that can be used in a lot of places, so you aren't out the money. Best of luck to you, and welcome to Cardschat.

I was under the impression that prepaid visas havn't worked on any of the poker sites for US residents. Even before black friday, towards the end of Tilt and Stars (US) they weren't even accepting them anymore. I'm almost positive Western Union is your safest, albeit most expensive route.

I have not played online since FTP and pokerstars stopped accepting US players. I decided to get back into poker and deposit on Carbon, and looked to this post to see the safest option for depositing. However, it did not seem too clear.

^^ Is Western Union the safest way then?

And what about prepaid cards or Visa cards? Are they still allowed for US residents?

Just in case anyone was curious, I went ahead and deposited through my Visa card. I got a call from my bank to confirm the transaction and then the money went in without any problems. So Visa cards can still be used for US citizens, and seems pretty secure.

Hopefully this can be of use to anyone depositing on Carbon.

Just to let you all know... I just deposited on Carbon poker using AccountNow prepaid visa card... I deposited $25 and it went through first time... I heard for a time there that no one was able to do this so I wanted to post the update. It charged me a total of $25.10 from *name withheld to protect the guilty* to deposit the $25.

AccountNow prepaid Visa's are free to obtain... If any of you are going to get one it would be nice if I could get a kickback... referal code: joakes ...

So once again... AccountNow cards are for sure good on all Merge deposits (Hero, Carbon, etc.)

Moe.

Is depositing easy? Like is it possible? Or do they make it obnoxiously difficult

I was wondering about this myself. I don't want to use my bank card etc... to load up on Carbon, so I might just take this route instead and play it safe. Thanks Moe! I'll be sure to use your code should I grab one of these cards.

To the last post... I am glad you find my posting useful... I am unsure why I posted my referrer code on there as that is borderline advertising... This was not my intention in anyway. Just making sure that is clear to anyone who reads these. :)

Is that a processor name in Post #10? Looks like it -- probably don't want to post that info. Doesn't really help players (the other info -- that AccountNow prepaids work -- certainly does, though) and it might help get processors pinched.

EEK... Thank you Mentor... That was pretty silly to put in there... however if someone from DOJ tries to deposit... You know what I mean... they already have this info... But thank you for looking out... it slipped out on accident.
