With more poker sites using Bitcoin for depositing and withdrawing funds, I was wondering which Bitcoin wallet that members are using and how they like them.
I plan on using the Bitcoin wallet on my laptop and use it mostly for withdrawing and funding BCP, ACR and BOL poker sites for right now.

Any information would be appreciated.

There are still too many sharks out there in the BitCoin Ocean for me to consider using them at the moment. If a couple of years go by without any more major scandals/rip-offs I might consider it.

Coinbase. bitcoin is king in this world. Relatively fast and cheap after initial setup. I think you have to have a credit card to get a wallet.

I will keep it in mind when making a decision.

looks so
it is more secured because of the way it's password protection, during the transfer.
but does not mean, your account is secured.;)

I haven't looked at my wallet for ages. What are they worth now a-days, $50/ Bitcoin?
You're safest bet is to get your own wallet so no one can steal your bitcoins. I only have a few bucks in bitcoin so I store mine in an online website wallet, hasn't let me down so far.
Beware of the lower traffic altcoin exchange sites, I had around $30 stolen from one of them, most likely by the staff or security breach on the site. Coins just dissappeared from my account and I checked the blockchain. They had been transferred into another account. When I contacted the site, they acted like the coins never existed and had no record of a transfer......messed up.
I use it blockchain.info its good.
The big exchanges I have never had issues with. It's like a mini-stockmarket

As of late ive been using bitcoin deposit and withdraws a lot due to low fees and quick timeframes. ive been using blockchain wallet with 100% success so far. I wouldnt advise leaving bitcoin in the wallet as the price of bitcoin goes up and down in value like a stock. I havent seen more than a couple dollars in fluctuation but still significant.

I got on Circle and I think I can transfer money to the poker site from there. If not, I will figure out the wallet thing. I don't like the idea of paying fees to use my own money. There is a very long waiting/validation period to deposit on circle and the poker site. I remember when you could just put in your cc number and that was it. Ah, the good ol' days....

It's not based on any fiat currency. It costs whatever people are willing to pay for it on any given day, like gasoline. It's hovering around $492 per bitcoin right now, which is a 6-month high. It's pretty volatile as far as currencies go, so keep in mind that you're not only gambling on poker, you're also speculating on the price of coin rising or holding steady, which can be a pretty sick parlay.

Why can't we use credit cards anymore? There is enough fraud protection out there and this moneygram and bitcoin crap is a waste of time. These poker sites act like they are operating under the radar for some reason. It seems shady to expect a customer to send a moneygram transfer to to some randomly generated false person in another country. What is up with all the hoops?

If you have a Coinbase wallet, simply convert the bitcoin to fiat on the day you get it. I think there is a 1% fee to do this.

I'll stick to real money, I know what I have then, plus using Paypal is cheap and easy

So is it legal or not? Is it just based on your state? I understand that is why some sites exclude certain states, and there must be a very clear reason why.

This shady business makes me wonder about the whole system, like why certain sites are not for US players. Honestly, it has been years since I've tried to play online and I don't get why there is still an issue.

The thing that gets me the most is that these sites claim to be US friendly yet you are required to sneak in the side door that is connected to a long tunnel with Indiana Jones style obstacles which then turn into something from out of Alice and Wonderland or the Labyrinth, which after taking the red pill you find out that it is all an elaborate stage set up for those who are just trying to misguide you and take your money with extra fees along the way.

Tell the bank that you're trying to deposit money onto an online poker site. They will remove the deposit restrictions. I asked my bank to call pokerstars, and they gave permission for me to play there. It's called "people skills" and they go a long way.
