I'm amazed it's still around. I dabbled in mining it and various other "alt" coins a few years ago. It was fun and I'm always on the lookout for new alt coins to mine and then hold some/trade some for BTC.
I think it's good for online poker in some ways (esp in terms of access in America) but there's also risk for abuse in unregulated sites using unregulated anonymous currency (there's huge potential for abuse). Because we've seen before people sending X amount of BTC to an address and then the money is gone. And you know sites could take advantage of that.
But if more reputable sites like ACR and Bovada
continue to remain reputable and continue (Bovada recently announced it) to accept Bitcoin deposits it;'s good for the currency and good for US players.
