I just started playing again on Betonline and recently tried to withdraw funds. Not a huge amount ($300) but wanted to be sure that I wont have an issue in the future.
I went through the steps of making a bitcoin withdrawal and received an error message to contact support. I reached support and apparently I used a $100 sportsbook bonus back in 2014 and was informed that I would not be able to make a poker withdraw until I bet 12x's the bonus ($1200) in their sportsbook.
Obviously, I was furious. According to their fine print, I agreed to this -
Once I threatened to go on this and other forums and demanded to speak with a manager they reviewed the account, agreed that I am a poker player and not a sports better so they agreed to release my money. I was told before agreeing to ANY bonus to contact them first to be sure there was no fine print.
I recommend to everyone before making a single deposit to contact them directly to be sure you will be able to withdraw your funds - Unfortunately, even then you wont be sure until you try to withdraw since no one over there really knows about problems until they occur.
The best think to do would be to make a small deposit, try and withdraw and see what happens - There are no fees with bitcoin so it wont cost you anything.
Its unfortunate that they make us do this but until online poker is legal in the US and regulated, we really have no protection -
Hopefully, this info will help people in the future
