I am trying to deposit on bodog as a US resitent, but my visa was declined, so they told me to get a visa gift card -- one that is accepted for international purchases. They won't say a card company. So I was wonder if anyone used a gift card and which company was it? Also when did you deposited?

Can anyone whose had success p.m. me as well if you don't want to say in this thread. A CC seems like the best option but I dunno.

There's also the MyPayLinQ options, but after Netteller, I'm kinda hesitant. Does anyone know if this works (and/or would be wise) for US players? I just want something simple to get the initial deposit in. (I'll expect to w/draw later via checks.) Thanks!

I had one that worked in may, but would not work beginning of June, I think your best route to go is Western Union.

I'm actually only seeing Visa, Rapid Transfer, Bank Wire, Digital Pin, & MyPayLinQ. Hmmm.

For those interested, I found a Visa Gift Card that works. :) If you're looking for the same, pm me. I have a the site where you can look up local retailers where they sell them. They seem to be all over the map.

Yes, it looks like it's via Bank Wire and you're allowed one free payout per month. Can't speak to how reliable or fast Bodog is though. Seems like people aren't having too terrible a time from what I've seen in the forums. But you know, it's all a risk these days -- at least for US residents.

I get it that some of these sites still welcome US players (for real money), but I have been through each and every one of the US-friendly sites and cannot find a way to deposit money quickly and efficiently. I guess having a mastercard instead of a Visa doesn't help me much...a couple sites said specifically that they no longer accept Mastercard. None of them accept e-checks anymore either. Sure, they give you other deposit "options"...but who want to wait 3 days for their account to be verified or even worse, have to fax proof of ID???
If anyone has figured out a site where the deposit process is not so frustrating, please share!!
Thanks!!

Whoever asked about withdrawl. I cashed 2 checks from them this month. 1 for 325 and for 425. You just have to email a form they have to show your really the person who deposited. It took about 10 days to get my check after each withdrawl request.

Would you mind pm-ing me the info? This site won't let me send you a PM until I get a few posts in. Thanks!

Visa is the best. Just put in the information, processing time is about 30 seconds :)

No CS wont help, they dont have a clue as to what gift card works, so its a crap shoot, all they say is it has to accept international transactions, that really narrows it down

Bodog brand is leaving USA, but MMGG, the company that owns the bodog.eu software, is not going anywhere...they are rebranding the site as of Jan 1, 2012 and the transition will be very smooth for all players.

Maybe I'm unclear, MMGG will be the new face of Bodog, but that company will not accept new US players -- that is, basically no incarnation of Bodog will be open to new US members. Is that correct?

This is not correct. MMGG is the company that owns the bodog.eu software- they simply license the bodog brand name from BodogBrand.com. MMGG is not able to renew their license with BodogBrand.com so MMGG will rebrand its operations to something else. This newly branded site will be US player friendly.

Does this make sense?

Aaaah. Yes, it does. OK, so it really isn't the worse news in the world. Will they be offering different promos, different policies on rakeback, changes to the software (like auto buyins, 4 multitables table max), etc? Or will it basically be exactly the same, except for a brand name change? Thanks, Becky!
