Anyone else lose their ability to use credit card on ACR/BCP and being jerked around?

Needless to say, I became frustrated with BCP (and WPN in general) after I come home to find I no longer have a credit card option available this past Friday. After a series of exchanges with support (ie online, by telephone and by email, including security), they indicate my credit card was flagged by security and as a result, I can no longer have ANY credit card option. Please realize that this is a bank debit card which was verified about 6 weeks ago (going through their form process) and I have used it a number of times with ZERO issues since it was verified. Please also realize that my wife (with her separate account) is able to still use her bank debit card with no issues, even though it pulls funds from the exact same bank account.

To try to get around this seemingly inane issue, I create an ACR account. I do not try to hide the fact of who I am, using the same telephone number, physical address and email address, and notice after creating the account I have a cc/debit card option. And look - it has a $25 minimum vs a $48 minimum. I was excited!

This morning I receive this email from ACR security:

Hello Shane,

We hope this email finds you doing well.

Please note that your account has triggered one of our security flags. Due to privacy policies we can't disclose the details of the triggered flag; however, we can see the alert itself and our system has automatically disabled Visa as a deposit option. You are welcome to deposit using Bitcoin....

Anyone else have this issue?

Rant - I wouldn't be so upset if they had another fee free deposit option, or at least a cheap one. Bitcoin, due to miner fees, is ridiculous, and often I do not wish to deposit $150+ to use other cryptocurrency options, still realizing fees along the way. The moneygram option was a joke this weekend ... I ended up making 2 deposits and the 2nd one took 7 hours to verify, even though anyone with an internet connection could verify the money was there within moments.

Prior to this, I have enjoyed my overall experience on BCP. Funding my account WAS easy, cash outs to bitcoin went smoothly, and support was always quite responsive. If not for this deposit issue, this is the site available to US players that is closest to the pre Black Friday pokerstars experience. Additionally, they have a great selection of MTTs. Highly recommend IF you can use credit/devit card.

i'll put my two cents in here I signed up to ACR for the first time and made one deposit but the deposit had to be made by western union as they would not let me use a credit or debit card either I did make a deposit which took hours to appear in my account.

I like this site too although the player base is small as with most other sites but not being able to use a debit card to deposit is a little strange and needless to say I have not made another deposit there since.

also what I found a little strange is that a deposit for Americas Cardroom had to be sent to nicaragua

although I do have a question as well seeing as an acr rep seems to be looking at this thread.

If I cannot use a bank card to deposit how would I withdraw my winnings if I get any?

The options I have for withdrawal are (Bitcoin) (many other crypto currencies) (bank draft CHECK) (Money Gram *Fee is high*)

***crypto and Check are best options in my opinion for withdrawals.***

Also if you deposit via mg or western union I think the fee is credited to your account if you follow the online procedure, not 100% sure about that but I think so.

cheers for info never really looked into using bitcoin as the value fluctuates very wildly on open market and is not really regulated but a cheque is an alright way so long as it doesn't get lost in the post

You are correct, however ACR is exceptional at processing it quickly (by noon the following day for me usually). I have actually gained more than I've lost over several withdrawals from a couple different sites. Now that bitcoin transfer rates are reasonable again (less than $1), I find it is a wonderful option.

I too had to find an alternative method of payment at ACR. I was a little miffed as they did not even email me as to why they did this. I decided to use Bitcoin through Coinbase.com and this has turned out to be a disaster as they are having a major malfunction for any accounts associated with paypal, which my account is.

This is the message posted at their site:
Partial System Outage: Our team has identified an issue with sells to PayPal accounts, and we have temporarily disabled PayPal as a payment method while we investigate and work on a fix. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

I got the same email although it requested that I send in a credit card authorization form photo's of ID and photo of utility bill. I sent everything in as requested and never got a response. Horrible experience working with their support team. I am no longer recommending ACR due to this experience.

Why can fees be so high anyway? These are electronic transactions, and if they are not then, the place doing them should take a look at their processes. Getting sick of paying fees for electronic transactions by a computer. Money for nothing. Currently looking to deposit somewhere but not sure how Crypto even works and scared of fees in and out eating up any potential of winnings.

Never had the option for credit card for those sites nor have I deposited anything yet using any method. So never had that issue or seen it to become an issue.

they actually have ECO PAYZ, you can deposit to ECO via credit/debit cards and then transfer from ECO Balance to ACR , just need to set up a acct , works great, I only takes minutes to do a transaction , I have found no problems

I use a green dot visa to buy stuff online and never had any trouble with it . Last Friday I tried to deposit to ignition and it didn't go through. They sent me an e-mail telling me to try it again or better yet use master card. They then sent me another e-mail stating they couldn't verify my account and to send a pic of my I.D. which I did. I did buy a Pay Pal Master card today but now I'm wondering what's going on.Guess I'll try to contact the sites and see what they have to say.

If you are experiencing same issues, must be due to pending account verification,
please contact directly our security department by email to security@americascardroom.eu with full details of your case and please add the following:

• A picture of the front side of your Driver’s license.
• A recent utility bill under your name

Plus, if you deposited with a credit card:

• Signed Authorization form
• Copy of the card (s) used to deposit.

Once you send this documents, your account will be certify.
