Needless to say, I became frustrated with BCP (and WPN in general) after I come home to find I no longer have a credit card option available this past Friday. After a series of exchanges with support (ie online, by telephone and by email, including security), they indicate my credit card was flagged by security and as a result, I can no longer have ANY credit card option. Please realize that this is a bank debit card which was verified about 6 weeks ago (going through their form process) and I have used it a number of times with ZERO issues since it was verified. Please also realize that my wife (with her separate account) is able to still use her bank debit card with no issues, even though it pulls funds from the exact same bank account.
To try to get around this seemingly inane issue, I create an ACR account. I do not try to hide the fact of who I am, using the same telephone number, physical address and email address, and notice after creating the account I have a cc/debit card option. And look - it has a $25 minimum vs a $48 minimum. I was excited!
This morning I receive this email from ACR security:
Hello Shane,
We hope this email finds you doing well.
Please note that your account has triggered one of our security flags. Due to privacy policies we can't disclose the details of the triggered flag; however, we can see the alert itself and our system has automatically disabled Visa as a deposit option. You are welcome to deposit using Bitcoin....
Anyone else have this issue?
Rant - I wouldn't be so upset if they had another fee free deposit option, or at least a cheap one. Bitcoin, due to miner fees, is ridiculous, and often I do not wish to deposit $150+ to use other cryptocurrency options, still realizing fees along the way. The moneygram option was a joke this weekend ... I ended up making 2 deposits and the 2nd one took 7 hours to verify, even though anyone with an internet connection could verify the money was there within moments.
Prior to this, I have enjoyed my overall experience on BCP. Funding my account WAS easy, cash outs to bitcoin went smoothly, and support was always quite responsive. If not for this deposit issue, this is the site available to US players that is closest to the pre Black Friday pokerstars experience. Additionally, they have a great selection of MTTs. Highly recommend IF you can use credit/devit card.
