I was really hoping I wouldn't have to post this, but this entire process of cashing out is utterly RIDICULOUS on bodog right now. It has driven me to let you guys know...

It all started by a hot streak I was on... I play a ton of low stakes tournaments, SnG's, mainly for the love of the game rather than the money/glory. I've been playing Bodog for the past 4 years now. Love the ease of the site and what they offer for the level of money I play for.

All I wanted to do was cash out $200... Really?? Is that all that hard??? Just a simple check sent to my address, and everyone is happy right? I'm not rushed for the cash, so when they reply saying it'd take anywhere from 2-4 weeks and showed up in 2, no problem. But then the fun started...

I went to deposit it, and a couple of days later it is taken out of my account along with a 10 refund fee... THE CHECK BOUNCED!!!! WTF? Seriously, a multi-million dollar business sending me a $200 check and it bounced? What a headache. Obviously, I call their oh so friendly support...

They start off by telling me that I need to call my bank and renegotiate them processing the check, there was something wrong with their bank and they issued a bunch of bad checks. My bank laughs pretty much saying in their polite professional speak "Screw you kid, it's a bounced check, there is no renegotiation." So 4 more emails and 3 more phone calls later, I need to scan the copies of returned check and email that to them or fax it over to them. I scan copies, they tell me that's not good enough, I rescan them putting them in the format they wanted, and they say OK we will send this to our financial dpt and await an email with an update. I got that update... THEY SAY FOR ME TO CALL MY BANK TO RENEGOTIATE!!!! All I wanted them to do from the beginning was reissue me a new check, with my name on it, with the amount of $200 (at this point i dont even care about the 10 buck fee), THAT WONT BOUNCE. UGH!!!!!

I was just about to deposit another 70 bucks in my account... Do I do it seeing how I still enjoy playing on the site (I've only played in experimental freerolls on the other sites to see how I like them, not too much of a fan honestly) or do I spend my money somewhere else? Please use this as a warning to others about this site.

Sorry for the length.. :banghead:

If you went through so much trouble with Bodog issuing a bounced check, why would you want to make another deposit there, if you really want to do that, why not just give the $70 away to a homeless person or deposit into another poker site.

Prefer SnG's with buy in's no greater than 8 bucks... Suggestions of other sites that have decent tables to those standards?

Too many other good sites for you to play at to mess around with 1 who screws up the first time you try to cash out. If it were me i would give another site a shot at my business.

Withdrawal Blues

Seems like many of these poker sites go all out to promote deposits. But, to use an old Seaman's saying: when it comes to withdrawing the money, the sites are "staring out the porthole.

Only when US legalizes On line gambling and imposes regulations will these problems go away.

Good luck

If you enjoy playing there, why not just use the "play money," because if you send them more $$$ after what you just described that's pretty much how you're treating your own real money anyway! What's the use of playing for real cash if you can't get your winnings--or it COST YOU $10 to try unsuccessfully to get them??

If you send them any more money without first getting your $200 PLUS reimbursement for the $10 fee for their bounced check, then you need to have your head examined.

I like bodog and haven't had problems like you describe, but I'd be damned if I would send them more money if they can't process such a small payout without all those headaches and BS.

Get an account with PokerStars instead. They are far the best regarding tournaments and sit and gos. The way Bodog has handled your situation is just not good enough, I would surely take my action elsewhere. Especially since Bodog in my eyes isnt one of the best sites.
