ACR Mistake Bitcoin Cash to Bitcoin Address

I am fairly new to Bitcoin and opened after unsuccessfully trying other deposit method on ACR and almost getting ripped off on a p2p transfer. I deposited from my bank to Coinbase which took 9 days to clear. I then transferred Bitcoin Cash from Coinbase to Coinapp wallet which took 3 hours to show up. I then copied a Bitcoin address from ACR and initiated a transfer from Coinapp to ACR Bitcoin provided address. Unfortunately, I didn’t know that I was supposed use ACR Bitcoin cash address and so the funds never showed up on ACR. They said the funds are probably in limbo. How to I recover the Bitcoin cash that I mistakenly sent to the ACR Bitcoin address?

Something like this shouldnt even be possible to happen. Why do they need to publish multiple Bitcoin addresses in the first place?

Everything I hear about this site disgusts me further just when I think I cant be any more disgusted.

Frustrating

It’s definitely frustrating. Credit card declined so agent highly recommended Bitcoin and using Changely and that they would credit me Changley fee if I deposited via credit card. Tried that and they requested license so provided and still declined. I then did Coinbase and was charged fee and value of pending funds dropped because of currency exchange value. By the time it cleared I was down 10% but excited to try the site. I then went through the actions in my first post and now can’t access the funds due to a pretty common mistake apparently. Now I am watching blockchain videos on how to recoup funds and blockchain private keys on both exchanges and feel like I could be spending my time at a live table or just hanging out having a few beers somewhere.

First experience with Bitcoin and ACR is pretty bad, all I wanted to do is enjoy some poker but at this point would not recommend it to anyone who is not familiar with Bitcoin or ACR. Too many hoops and 1 mistake in process and you could be out of funds. Luckily, wasn’t more than $200.

That's what I hate about using bitcoin, any mistake in the transfer means the bitcoins are lost.

I've used and transferred bitcoin a lot of the years but have never deposited to ACR. You can check your transfer on blockchain to see if it was received but I'm not sure where you would go from here to be honest, this shouldn't even be allowed to happen. Also, good luck cashing back from bitcoin to your bank if you win big, could become a long process, depending on where you live.

There is an ACR rep here on the forum, maybe talk to him?

if you lose money because you used a pants with a broken pocket... who is guilty, the pants? really? lol.
it's a typical act of mediocre people to put the guilt on others (by the way that's the main reason why politics exist) because they don't have the courage to be responsible for their own decision or acts.

??? I have to say, I am not sure what you are trying to say. Are you inferring that I am "mediocre people" because it makes me nervous to send money via bitcoin since there is no backup system in case of any mistakes? If that's what you are saying, your analogy is kinda stupid.

i did that same mistake in the past.its' simple, you have to be responsible of your acts, it's not a matter of you have to use bitcoin for that.

What the hell are you talking about? I hope English is your second language because you suck at making a coherent point. All I said is that Bitcoin is a risky way to send money, and you keep talking about personal responsibility and having the courage to be responsible for my own decisions and acts. What are you talking about??? or better yet, what the hell are you smoking and where can I get some?

I know you're a good guy, possibly even higher quality but it is the typical act of a less than mediocre person to degrade someone for an honest mistake for absolutely no reason but to make a point

Bitcoin Cash

Apparently, its a pretty common occurrence and flaw once Bitcoin cash split off of Bitcoin since they can use same address sequences although what happens to all that money in limbo is beyond my level of knowledge nor do I really care to learn about blockchain sequences etc. I just wanted to play some poker from the convenience of my home and have a convenient way to deposit and withdraw funds.

The frustrating thing for me is that it was recommended by an ACR rep after multiple attempts to deposit via credit card. They even called me after multiple credit card attempts to tell me about Bitcoin bonus and easy deposit and recommended I use my credit card with Changely and they would credit the 10% processing fees. So I opened a Changely account entered my information and then Changely requested a send over copy of my driver’s license which hesitantly did and then still denied the credit card. At that point I went with the 10 day Bank Deposit->Bitcoin Cash via Coinbase->Coinapp Wallet->ACR Bitcoin and funds disappeared in blockchain land. ACR basically told me I am out of luck. Just leaves a really bad taste in my mouth. I can’t imagine the frustration with withdrawals.

I don't know a lot about bitcoin so I try to stay away from it. What I do know is that I haven't heard of anyone regaining their bitcoin currency after an unfortunate mix up....good luck.

It’s simple don’t sell nor advertise pants with broken pockets. However, if you need to sell pants with broken pockets be sure to inform your buyer that there is a broken pocket and things can easily get lost in that broken pocket. This will result less issues, less lost money, and happier customers. Lol.

You could have just sent the bitcoin straight from Coinbase to ACR. I am not familiar with the Coinapp and it's workings but there's usually a way to get the funds back.

I send Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin address in the past and got the funds back. I had to wait like almost 2 months but the receiving website did sort me out.

This post makes me hesitant to ever use cryptocurrency.

What do I really have to gain?

Additionally I would never know exactly how much all the fees would be before I send or receive crypto.

I used Cash App to purchase Bitcoin. It's way more simple and there are no fees associated with buying or selling. Very straight forward. Worth a shot to avoid these headaches in the future.Bitcoin transactions are different and do take time to process depending on how much you paid to have it sent. I've seen it take up to 2 days for it to go through before. However I would never use Coinbase.

No fees? What's the catch? Crappy rates?
There is no such thing as a free lunch...so I'm quite cautious about a system which has no cost. If there is no cost...then YOU must be the product.

I'm more than a noob when it comes to actually using cryptocurrency though, so I'm quite surprised about a lack of fees. What is the business model of a company which processes such transactions for no fee? The only thing that makes sense to me there, is that they give much poorer rates...so you end up paying one way or another.

Mistakes happen and Bitcoin is not very forgiving. Bitcoin isn't for everyone since there is a risk factor and uncertainty involved at times. I wouldn't let one unfavorable experience prevent you from enjoying the benefits of Bitcoin.

Me. i use Cash app. which i can buy bit coin. and i can deposit into ACR and it takes up to about 20 min. but mostly just a few minutes. the one thing i'm not sure is if you can use the cash app. to with draw from ACR to the cash app.

Personally I have a separate wallet that I send the withdrawal to and then send it to myself on Cash app.

Yeah you can even buy and trade stocks with no fees. I'm assuming they sell their own shares/Bitcoin or connect buyers and seller. Maybe look more into cash app for yourself. I'm just saying it is what I use.
