Id actually try to complete Take 2, put the minimum buyin on a couple 2NL tables at the same time and try not to get unlucky. Still have a little less than 6 hours to get todays 5 points to still be in the running for the full $25. The first take 2 i did was for like 25 days and $50, started with ~$20 and more than tripled my bankroll afterwards and Ive had a decent roll to play with ever since.

But if you don't want to take a chance, Id say start with any of those less than a $1 STT satellites that pay the top 3.

Congrats
Micro ring games till you get to $15
Then try $1 SnG's
Make sure you have an FTPA challenge suited to what your playing active. Complete the sit and learn to get in that freeroll
Take advantage of the iron man point a day freeroll.
Don't forget the countless hours you sat in freerolls.

U make micro ring games sound so easy to get up to 15 lol the only thing holding me back on those is just from observing the horrible play and i feel my roll isnt close to big enough to take the swings which is why im thinking about the 30c satelites which gives me plenty of buy ins with 3rd taking 25c (obviously not wat im going for) and 1st and 2nd registered in daily dollar which u can take out for 95c

Takes around 30 minutes to an hour (depending on how you play) at 2NL. I think you should go for it, just wait for the hands and you'll be good.

You could play shallow tables if you feel more comfortable there.

If you are decent at tourneys, the 30 cent sattys to the daily dollar are soft, you get those and unregister for T dollars, and use those to register for sngs of your choice.

So the way take 2 works is u have to get 10ftp (including the bonus) for 5 out of the 10 days to get 5$? or am i misreading it

ya thats wat im thinking. I got 17buy ins for that level and have played them b4. The only hard thing to overcome is when 2 donks double up early stages then its down to the final 3, its hard to finish top two. U just got figure a way around them i guess. And hopefully i get accepted into cardschat freerolls and can get a couple cashes in there to earn up a bigger bankroll

Yea, just earn 5 FTPs they'll automatically double 'em and give you 5 bonus points (which is what you need). You go to the Take 2 bonus page to confirm if you've got the check mark under the date or not.

There's still time, not that hard to earn 5 FTPs at 2NL shallow tables.

and Happy Birthday, best of luck in life and in poker.

If you click on MY Promotions in the Cashier, and click on Take 2, you can see how many points you've earned and wait til you've got the 'check' mark on that day and you're sorted. Even if you play like an absolute nit and only play AA KK QQ AK and AQs for example, you'll likely only make a little bit of cash but you'll earn the points just for sititng there. I think WV mentioned this on the Take 2 post under the Poker Rooms tab and worked out if you sit super tight and fold every hand, you'll make more in the bonus than you would in blinds alone. Try to go to a table with a lot of action (big pots, lots in pre flop) so you earn more and you're much more likely to get paid off with AA KK etc. Good luck and let us know how it goes! Oh, and stick to the freerolls as well. Good way to make money for free and it's clearly worked for you!

So micro.1/.2c folding basically every hand at a aggressive table would allow me to get 5ftp for 5days with 5dollars u think? and can someone explain how the ftp work

The 30c sats to the DD are pretty easy but are loaded with fish so you will have to play good solid poker

you could also try the $1.20 9 player sng's they are pretty soft too and 1st place pays $4.50

maybe play the 10c rebuy too if your good at MTT's

I wouldn't even bother trying to accomplish Take 2 for less than the full amount. Not worth 5 days for $5, but 9 days for $25 wouldve been. If your a ring game player anyway then go for it of course, but if its not your game of choice Id say its a waste now.

I'm normally a big fan of bankroll management, but at that level, until you build up your bankroll to at least $30-$50, I wouldn't think about doing anything except taking the whole amount and throwing it in a ring game and playing the best possible game you can.

My advice would be, if you feel confident enough, take the $5 and put it in a limit rush poker game. Play until you have $10. Sit out, buy-in again for $5, and do that over and over again until you build up to where you want to be. Then you can think about playing SnGs or .02/.05 NL, steps, or whatever really floats your boat until you get to your desired bankroll goal.

The reason I suggest cashing out at $10 is that it limits the amount of money on the table that you have to lose. It doesn't seem quite so bad for limit versus what you could lose playing NL, but it's still a possibility. The more you can bank, the better.

I've never had good luck with the .01/.02 NL ring games, myself. Even when I'm playing at the top of my game, I seem to lose more than I win. But if you feel confident in your NL skills, you could always try it -- just remember to set limits for yourself (ex. buy-in for $2, cash out at $4 or $5).

Once your roll gets large enough, you can always follow the Chris Ferguson school of bankroll management. I forget the website, but there's a nice little calculator called the Fergulator that tells you what to buy-in for and what to cash out at in ring games based on your bankroll size.

Also, in case you were wondering why I was suggesting rush poker, I personally think it encourages and rewards good, solid play. No need to play a marginal hand when you can just quick fold and be done with it. Also, I believe rush counts towards Take 2, so that avoids the whole issue of multi-tabling on such a small bankroll.

Anyway, that's just my two cents on the issue. Glad you managed to cash in a FT freeroll -- that's quite the task in my opinion. Use it wisely. :)

I think this is way to risky and i dont want to waste it on basically half my bankroll by doing that. Idk if u have read the other posts on here but basically we agreed that i should be playing the 30c sat to the DD. I played one yesterday because i have been extremely busy with mid terms and won that to put it up to 5.80 and added 2 more buy ins for that level so im just gunna stick to that and grind it out but thanks tho

I know we discussed the 30c to the DD option. Once take 2 is over and I collect my 25$ I am getting back into these as well.

Have you started this?

I would suggest going through this few times and then if you are feeling good about things and have about 15$ you can move to the 55c sats to the BLT. I rotate between these depending on how much I am drinking.....lol

I have only played one game of the 30c sat because ive been cramming for midterms that are in a couple of days and a whole bunch of papers due. But after that ill start grinding away at them. The game i played i did manage to win playing extremely tight in the beginning then loosening up around 50/100bb which seemed to work because all the fish sense the bubble and play tight as can be so chipping up was quite easy. As we got down to 3 i really opened up and was basically shoving (about 15bb deep) every hand on button or in SB cause person to the left was barely playing a hand. Overall the strategy seemed to work and i be sure to hit u up and let u no how i do once i start grinding away as u shuld pm me too and let me know if u get any tips at all in these games
