I was playing in the PA SCOOP 10 progressive tournaments. I had 40238 chips and was on the button with pocket KK. The blinds were 300-600 - the cutoff calls, I'm on the button with pocket KK, I decide to raise 2200. SB folds BB folds, under the gun calls and cut off calls.

Cut off has when the pot began 61757 the flop goes 10-5-9 two clubs under the gun checks and the cut of bets out the size of the pot, 7440. I decide to go all in. UTG folds and cut off snap calls. They made the second pair with a flush draw and on the turn, they hit the 3 of clubs to take me out of the tournament.

When I told someone about the hand they said I made a mistake by going all-in after cut of bet out I need to know what could I have done differently.

it's all in or fold based on stack sizes and pot amount and you aren't folding kings with that board. you did nothing wrong.

Thank you for your post. I like the preflop raise. I would call villians bet to see turn. When the 3rd club comes on the turn if he bet again I'd fold unless I had king of clubs. Good Luck

Good Luck To All:cool:

I'm with the rest - I don't think there is anything else you could have done. I'm sure there are other scenarios but in that spot, I would have done the same.

Please use a hand converter, this even confused yourself. BB called, not UTG ;)

I'd raise slightly bigger pre but it's not too bad.

About the flop, yeah jamming can never be too big of a punt here. But I don't think it's optimal.

If you have a read on Villain that he will punt off his stack regardless. By all means jam if he consistently calls with second pairs etc. However, on average, I think you're going to generate a lot of folds here while not getting called by too much. His donk pot bet is quite polarising v general population. So I'd flat and let him punt of his stack on any bluffs.

The one glaring mistake you made was the amount you raised. I’m assuming UTG and C/O limped which is a pot of 2,100 assuming there’s no antes. You only bet the pot leaving an opportunity for this hand to go multi-way. You need to raise bigger. I’d suggest around 4,500-5,000. Even if you just scoop this hand you won 3.5bb and on average you going to make somewhere around 4bb with this hand. Even if everyone folds out you should be happy with taking down the pot. Next mistake was reraising when the C/O lead. When you go all-in what is going to call you that you’d be getting value from? AT if they’re really bad. You can take JJ & QQ out of villains range they would’ve reraised preflop or opened. So what are you left with? Sets and flush draws. Attempting to deny equity when your opponent has the nut range you should be calling a assessing the turn. Now when the turn comes a club your opponents will allow you to play good poker and fold here. If you where short stacked you’ll probably be stuck going all-in on the flop but with more then 50bb you should be playing more cautious
