If this is a tournament with and under 20 BB average stack size, you might find a fold here.

Otherwise push.

Yeah I got no hand history cause it was a live tournament... I'm translating from online to live and same situation online is a no brainer following the reshove charts... however structure was pretty fast and avg was around 120000

Even if you are the shortest stack and been waiting for a long time to wake up with a hand, 66 is not that good hand at that time. Its just a coin toss if your opponent had 2 overs and more odds for him to have a greater pair than you.

I would have folded saving 13K bet with little over 10BB, you would have to be bit more patient and take your chances when that deep close to bubble.

Has not given information about his opponent nor the type of tournament he is playing is an MTT hyperturbo or a SNG Multi-Table Hyperturbo

Well, seems UTG also had a decent hand, because he also was kind of short to play it. Your 66 could be played if you are on SB or BB and the raise is coming from CO or the button, who are trying to steal the pot. The guy who opens the game is gambling 1/7 of his stack probably with intentions to go all in. Probably he folded after AA call

At this point I had made a push, do not have to look any further to give the card to the opponent.

I'd fold, overcards on the flop would scare you off, 4% of hitting your set. So close to the money. Fold

Shove is the best play here, it's just unfortunate for you that button picked up pocket aces.

made the mistake of telling us the outcome which clouds the judgement

so im not going to comment on the hand itself, but the players

UTG raise means strong hand (unless notes tell us otherwise)
you have 12bb so not really essential to play 66 so strongly unless you know UTG can find a fold, which wont happen very often, so you know your going to get called by him regardless of holdings and you will either be racing, or dominated.

as it stands button had AA but it was impossible to know based on actions what he has so he is not even in the equation

the only question you should be asking was, could your opponent fold, or will he call you with worse (that means would he call with 22-55 is that in his utg opening range) if it is then make the shove and if button wakes up with AA then unlucky, better hope for your set lol
