Hero is running deep ITM in the wsop $10,800 Main Event and there is 50/8761 players left, Hero is with a stack of 32 BB's (just above average stack) and is dealt QQ UTG. Hero open raises 4.5x with a stack of 27.5 BB's left, UTG+1 folds, med. folds, med.+1 folds, med.+2 (fish) calls 4.5x with a stack of 60 BB's left, HJ calls 4.5x with a stack of 32 BB's left (LAG), CO folds, BTN folds, SB 3 bets min raise and is all in for 8 BB's exactly (short stack/desperate shove), BB cold calls the 8 BB's with a stack of 123 BB's left, the action is back on Hero, in your own words, reflect and write, what do you think is the correct play, or what would you do in this exact situation, if you were in Hero's shoes, from here on out? :p

This sounds like a fake hand, not sure if it was meant to be that.

Open smaller pre (2-2.3x) and iso shove over the 8bb jam/cold call.

Lol it does sound like a fake hand, i see where the flaws and rough edges stand out now that i came back to look at it hours later :p it is a fake made up hand TBH, just wondering what certain players would do in that spot, would one even consider folding QQ preflop at that point? :p

I don't think you are ever folding here. BB just calls because he has a big stack, decent pot odds, and a chance to knock out a player. I think BB range is pretty wide. I think a shove is the best play to try to isolate the SB. I guess a big 4 bet is possible but you run the risk that BB just calls because he is in the pot already. Now if a A or K hit the flop you are in a tough spot.

I think the best play is to shove trying to isolate the SB.

The first thing is the hero raised too big with a small stack at the table he should have raised to 3.9bbs or less. Because in the current situation the hero would only be allowed to call not shove over. So in this situation he should flat and fold when a A or K hits. But, If he raised to less than 4bbs he could shove and should shove under these circumstances. Think the hero should have probably opened to a standard size to begin with(this would also entice the shorty to shove over then the hero could make a very EV pos jam).

I would play in two ways and the second would find it better,
1- only call and we would see the flop, depending on the cards we bet we would see the way to work by hand, but any 10 + would scare me into the village range or any pair of 10+ fits.
2 - Shove, try to isolate the village, and even if it does not isolate, QQ plays well. The amount of BBs that we would have in hand would not hurt much the villain would increase our stack.
