I suppose I could of shoved pre as I was in the SB with QTs sitting with 13 bbs. I would of definitely shoved if folded to me but there was 2 limpers and I thought I will call and see what the flop brings.

When the flop fell my eyes lit up and I thought this is a perfect x/shove with my remaining 12bbs... A GS & a FD... 12 beautiful outs. When I seen what vill called the all-in with I was laughing but had a feeling my 82% on turn is going to end up 0% :D... He was getting under 2-1 to call my shove and with him only having a 9 high straight, he is wrong to call as he has no implied odds!!

I still laughed when the river drowned me so this is not a post about being ahead and getting called by worse, I was happy he called!! This is just a post to see if you think I played it correctly! Flop I would say yes, pre I think maybe I should of shoved!

Let me know what you think?

, he is wrong to call as he has no implied odds!!

After going over the "Good implied odds" article again. I now realise that vill did in fact have good implied odds. I read this article 4 years ago, and I knew the more your hand is disguised the more good implied odds you have. A while ago I read a book on fixed limit poker, that mentioned you can call against pot odds if you had good implied odds and there was one hand that they were refering to and they said as it was a nut flush draw then vill can call even if the odds says no, so I have been using that and forgetting what I had read.

He has no implied odds because all the chips are already in the pot on the flop.

Yeah, villain has no implied odds as all chips are in on the flop, and it's certainly an incorrect call on his part. You played the hand fine, I think depending on the villains limping it might be better to shove pre. However, in freerolls, I've found that it's sometimes better to see a flop and use our post flop edge against fish instead of hoping for a 60/40 chance to win an all in preflop against fish who will call with almost any two cards. Well played, just unlucky imo lol

The call of the villian is fine IMO he has enougth equity and in adition a stack that let him to continue in the tournament in the case of that he loses. Well played for your side too.
