I was playing in the Elementary League tournament tonight, and was faced with the following hand.

PokerStars - 40/80 NL - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (UTG): 12 BB
UTG+1: 28.78 BB (VPIP: 21.43, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: -, hands: 14)
MP: 14 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 14)
MP+1: 34.88 BB (VPIP: 50.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 2)
MP+2: 192 BB
CO: 15.88 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: -, Hands: 6)
BTN: 37.35 BB (VPIP: 21.43, PFR: 7.14, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 14)
SB: 80.25 BB (VPIP: 57.14, PFR: 7.14, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 14)
BB: 17.63 BB (VPIP: 0.00, PFR: 0.00, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 10)

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has T:diamond: J:diamond:

Hero calls 1 BB, UTG+1 raises to 2 BB, MP calls 2 BB, fold, fold, fold, BTN calls 2 BB, fold, fold, Hero calls 1 BB

Flop: (9.5 BB, 4 players) 4:heart: 8:diamond: 2:diamond:
Hero bets 2 BB, UTG+1 raises to 5 BB, fold, BTN raises to 35.35 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 8 BB and is all-in, fold

Turn: (34.5 BB, 2 players) K:diamond:

River: (34.5 BB, 2 players) A:spade:

Hero shows T:diamond: J:diamond: (Flush, King High)
(Pre 44%, Flop 19%, Turn 0%)
BTN shows A:diamond: 3:diamond: (Flush, Ace High)
(Pre 56%, Flop 81%, Turn 100%)
BTN wins 34.5 BB

Was this a decent call? And in the future, is J high flush too low to consider going all in with?

Thanks in advance.

Fold pre. If there was antes I would open shove, however given the point structure of the Pokerschool games this may be a fold even with antes.

Building an open limp range in this spot requires the table dynamics and stack setups are almost perfect for it and your limp range also needs to be balanced. Unless you have done study and have a solid game plan for limping anywhere outside the SB with a stack this short, it should be avoided as it's very easy to get yourself into trouble with this play.

As played lead out shove the flop, betting 2bb here doesn't give you any fold equity. You obviously have to call off with your FD given the pot odds.
