Hello, i was wondering if this is a flop i should check instead of CBET inorder to either induce a bluff on the turn or a worse made hand.

The HJ caller is 40/0 over 5, so basically an unknown
The SB caller is 39/0 over 31, fishy.

NL Holdem $40(BB)
BB ($5507)
UTG ($4354)
EP ($260)
EP ($1675)
MP ($870)
HERO ($3138)
HJ ($2055)
CO ($3195)
BTN ($2155)
SB ($5615)

Dealt to Hero Q:heart: A:club:

UTG Folds, EP Folds, EP Folds, MP Folds, HERO Raises To $95 (Rem. Stack: 3043), HJ Calls $95 (Rem. Stack: 1960), CO Folds, BTN Folds, SB Calls $75 (Rem. Stack: 5520), BB Folds

Flop ($325) 6:diamond: 4:heart: A:diamond:
SB Checks, HERO Bets $154 (Rem. Stack: 2889), HJ Folds, SB Folds

HERO wins $479

Freeroll players tend to call too often.

They also tend to make hopeless bluffs, but nothing we know about these players makes us think they are bluffy.

Top pair / good kicker is a good hand, especially when it's an Ace. But it's not a great hand. You have two opponents, one or more of them could beat you if the wrong card comes on the turn.

I'd play the flop the same way you did.

Consider raising larger pre-flop in this game, players will call 3BB raises with much weaker hands than AQ.

Hey, when I play cash games I would raise much larger, to the 3-3.8BB range. However whenever I watch twitch streamers they all seem to use a 2-2.5BB open size. I've been trying it out. What are your thought on that?

A freeroll is usually filled with weaker players, and no one has paid to enter. They'll call 3BB (or more) with 97s because they don't know better, and / or because if they lose there is still just as much in their bankroll as there was before they registered. This is especially true in the early stages.

A cash game is different. Unless it is all fish, 2-2.5BB is more appropriate.
