Trips is not the same as a set he is saying. With trips two cards on the board gives you trips, where with a set its your pocket pair + a card from the board.

Anyway.

You have middle set on a dry board with the only hand currently beating you a set of jacks. Even if you elect to just call on the flop the turn card doesn't change anything and so I think the outcome would of been the same. In a 1 cent tourney with 28BB I dont think this is too aggressive.

Is it not better to min raise pre flop? Perhaps after a 3-bet from the jacks you could have folded, being out of position etc. My point is, what do you hope to achieve just limping pre flop?

You nor anyone doesn't have trips. It is called a set. You had a set. To have trips you have 1 of the cards in your hand & two matching on board. For a set you must have a pocket pair & one matching card on the board.

Never open limp, ever. Make a 2-2.2bb raise preflop here.

Why are we leading this flop? The board is not wet at all, check to aggressor and let him barrel with worse hands. As played you are never folding 66 here. Only one hand beats you and you are still way ahead even against a tight range such as JJ+ only.

^Aside from THIS... U shouldn't let it bother U. U got coolered is all... It's happened to me plenty of times... two pairs and sets(not trips) are the hardest upsets for ME to predict at times...
