Live tournament hand. 9 players.
SB 2000, BB 4000 Ante 4000 (just the button)
Hero's chip leader with 65K, villain's got 57K, everyone else is under 30K. Villain has been bluffing a lot.

I got :10s4::js4:

UTG folds
UTG + 1 raises 8K
MP folds
Hero calls 8K
MP + 2 folds
Villain calls 8K
BTN folds
SB folds
BB calls 8K

Flop: :kh4::kc4::kc4:

BB checks
UTG + 1 checks
Hero checks
Villain raises 4K
BB folds
UTG + 1 folds
Hero calls 4K

Turn: :qs4:

Hero checks
Villain raises 4K
Hero calls 4K

River: :ah4:

Hero checks
Villain raises 26K

What should hero do here?

I think you stayed in too long, any A/K/Q or pocket pair beat you, so I’m fine with folding.

You called every street, hit your hand, and still folded.

Fold pre-flop, as played fold flop, as played fold turn, as played fold river. :D

Generally you are better off not calling much as chip leader - raise strong hands and put the pressure on your opponents.

Not deep enough to play this speculative hand for a call - I'm actually fine with a shove (15bb effective) if this player is that loose, otherwise just fold.

Good luck!

i fold at the beginning because after that flop you have 9 outs that beat you right now for sure plus any pocket pairs, and you have to get one of 6 outs to survive, but you still lose to those 9 outs if they hit and you keep playing. you saw two of them hit on the turn and river....there's no way i can stay in the hand at that point but i'm out long before that

As presented I'm ok with the call pre. But against that flop that JTs become hot potatoes, and I can't throw them away fast enough.

What does it mean villain has bluffing a lot, right now this is just emotional statement for me, without any valid information. imo

In general fold preflop. imo

What is stack size utg+1?

In some previous hands he raised big amounts and then showed he had nothing.

I don't remember exactly, but he was 4th in the table, close to 30K.

I would fold at the latest on the turn when the 10J hand would already be completely useless against any Qx. Judging by the opponent's bet he had a hand not worse than Ax, but most likely AQ or KQ:)

You beat nothing in that situation, when the board trips like that in any situation you can say good-bye to any equity you had in a straight or flush. You either have a full house or you don't, and if you don't you don't go near it with a ten foot pole.

Yeah, as others have said, I don't understand why anyone would call on the flop.
