So today, I was playing the pokerstars TV Freeroll, with approximately 20,000 participants. My mindset going into this tournament with such a large group of players was to be aggressive and try to increase my chipstack as fast as possible. This may have been the incorrect way to approach this tournament.
I would like to have some opinions on how to think about these tournaments, and also if I should've played this hand any differently.
Sorry in advance if I forget anything in this hand, I normally don't post hands to be analyzed from memory too often.
I'm in mid position with , someone in big-blind min-raises preflop. I have a stacksize of approximately 15 big blinds.
I re-raise an extra 3 big blinds, he calls. Everyone else has folded, we are Heads Up going into the flop.
Flop: Ad , may not have been an 8 but it was definitely a heart and not a face card.
Opponent checks, I raise 3 or 4 big blinds, opponent goes all in. I call.
He shows .
I don't hit a heart on the turn or the river. He wins the hand.
Thanks in advance!
Also, the ace of diamonds isn't showing up as an icon, is there a limit to how many of them I'm allowed to put in a post?
