$Freeroll NLHE MTT: KJs from the BB

my stack was 2000, ante 15, 75/150 blinds 9 handed (tournament pays 10 and has 150 runners or so left, and my stack started 1/2 average or so)

all fold to dealer-1 (stack 4,000 or so) who raises to 300, dealer folds, sb raises all in to 775, i call with KdJd (thinking that i'm putting 600 into a pot that will be 2000 or 2600) dealer-1 calls


pot roughly 2600 and i'm down to 1200 effective

dealer-1 bets 615, i call (with 8 outs to the straight, outs to runner runner flush and nothing above my cards)

dealer-1 puts me all in and i call (with now 19 outs to a likely winning hand and two overs to the board)


have a screwed everything up or did i make some good plays?


also i welcome any advice on how to post a hand analysis since i'll likely be doing this regularly but probably not good at that yet lol

I think you played it fine, although you also could have shoved preflop to try to shut out the player in the cutoff. Also the call on the flop was half your stack; might have been better to shove.

I also think you played the hand and position well you have to play what your feeling and that's the game. Even if you play perfect the other player could hit on a 4% chance and win doesn't make your call or bet wrong. That's poker

in this case i hit my flush, i guess by the end i had about a 40% chance into good pot odds. i'm still in that tournament. had to go shopping with the wife for an hour but came back in 12th out of 12 (ten paying) and 6 BB left for me to figure out when to shove haha
