Not sure if it was the right way to play it or not. the villain that re-raised over the top on the flop was playing a wide range of hands. I had him ace 10 through ace king range maybe a lower pocket pair. horrible turn card. I'm just wondering how everyone else would have played it.

Thanks for your input

Yeah, perfectly fine. Maybe raise a little more pre-flop, but the outcome wouldn't have been different.

You only bet 2BB should have bet at least 4BB, after the flop is a whole new ball game, :kd4: :ks4:

ya I only raised it 3000 pre-flop because everyone was snap folding to 3 bets because it was so close to the bubble and I wanted some action. I figured I played it ok just got un-lucky on the turn. I had the right read on the guy just bad luck that hand haha

Only thing is.... it is a flat payout structure (satellite.... or at least I'm assuming it is when you say top 9 get tickets. That says to me they are of same value) so there's no great benefit to accumulating chips at this point. You have 80bb's... chips won at this point have far less value than chips lost.

yeah, but that exactly what you want! something between 2.4~3x was the ideal in my opinion, probably he would have run away in similar cases, but is this case was ok, just needed to let your hand go (i know thats hard haha :))
