The subject of the week is "playing beyond the cards" i haven't watched all the questions yet, but i think they are all about range. Here goes the question number one, please pay attention to what the question ask.

Hand: http://www.pokerhandreplays.com/tpl...B_iframe=true&height=240&width=400&id=8423861

Question:
the action goes like that, the MP1 open raise 500 in the blind 100/200, the hero calls in the CO with 6h6s and the BB complete. THE ACTION IS ALLWAYS THAT, the board is allways the same. 7h3d4c. the hero has pocket sixed and the gutshot straight draw. the big blind checks, the MP1 checks and the hero value bets 980, the BB calls and the MP1 raise for 3680 the question is:

what of those 4 hands is the more probable for the mp1 to have, that he plays like that, checks the flop, take bet-call and raises on both.

A) Th Ts
B) Ad 7d
C) Kd Ac
D) Ac 5c

My Answer:
First of all let me remember you guys that I am just a beginner trying to improve my game, so, if the read are complete wrong forgive and try to help me think the game right, and second the question is not about if the call with sixes is right, of even if the fold is right, the question is about the possible hand the mp1 is holding, and last, english is not my main language, but I am trying my best to type right, forgive-me for the mistakes.

A) I think this is the right answer as he have an overpair but the board is not the best since there are many scary cards to hit the turn that he will either been beat or will cut the action of the hand. If any Ace, king, queen or jack hit the turn playing against 2 players he will probably be beaten, and if a 5 or 6 hit the turn even if no one score a straight, that will cut the action of the hand and difficultly someone will be willing to put more chips in the pot even with an overpair like kings or aces.

B) i think this is the second most probable hand for him to have as he have top pair and top kicker... but playing like that with only one diamond in the flop doens't look good to me, but i don't know, what do you guys think?

C) I dont think someone would play AK like that, what would be his plan for the turn? there is only 6 outs and he may even been drawing dead if the BB defended 56s for example. i can't see the logic in that play.

D) I think this is the worse answer as he have an over card, gutshot straight draw and backdoor flush draw nuts, why he would do that? the call is cheap and when he hit he might take a very good pot playing agaisnt two, there is no reason for that raise.

I think it mostly depends on how the villain has been playing, with no information and thinking about range, I personally would take that villain action with all 4 hands, depending on my opponents play so far

It will be good if you say something information about playstyle of your opponents.
I'm more think this is TT and Ad7d. Because with a gutshot and AK so will play a very bad player. If he was like that, let me know.

Now we choose what is more probable - TT or Ad7d. Raise with these hands with these stacks is standard, both hands are good for 8-max and these blinds. But a check on the flop is more like Ad7d. It depends on how often this opponent puts first, and did you see that he had an autopsy when he does that. If there are often overpairs or AK type cards, then this is Ad7d in this hand. Otherwise - ThTs.
In general, it is important for you to determine the range, and he beat your hand for sure. Your bet was correct, but he showed the strength of his hand even pre-flop and is not afraid to reraise - this is an indicator of great strength.
Sorry for Bad English.:)
