Check turn. In a 5way pot I don't really see what making a PSB on the turn accomplishes. Your betting range here to this size should be polarized, or composed of 8x/22/44 or 56/53.

Check river. Not sure what this bet is accomplishing. You never get called by a worse hand and fold out all of V's air. I'd x/f.

I don't see why you need to bet the turn there. You do get some protection from the bet but with so many other players in the pot it's probably best just to keep the pot small.

As trent already stated the bet on the river is also unnecessary. It's not really a proper value bet or a proper bluff because you'll basically just get him to fold hands that are worse than yours and call with those that are better. You want to be more polarised with bets like this.

first, I don't think your BB defense title is accurate, there was no raise to you in the blind.
Secondly, check every street of this hand. if someone bets on the river I would even fold. once your bet was called by the CO, check river and fold to any bet.
Basically, garbage hand and your only hope was hitting the nine but even then your kicker sucks. no offense intended.
just my opinion.

Why do you invested chips in the early game, out of position in a hand that not conected with that turn less on river? In that game phase there are players that call with J high 2 kicker. DO NOT BLUFF!!!

Thanks for the replies. I agree title not the best and no offense taken. If I don't want opinions I won't post the hand, so I appreciate all feedback.

As to my play, I clearly find I have trouble with these situations. My bet on the turn is informational (to me). I understand this maybe flawed.

I understand an 8 will slow play a lot but once I catch a piece of the hand I want to see where I am. Any calls I need to watch out for but it also sets up a story that I have an 8.

I don't like my bet on the river as I violated my own thought process since the V called the turn but he also was no screaming strength to me. I had seen him lead a set earlier so I really didn't think he had an 8.

Clearly a spot I need to work on.
