What's the odds!
I was in your table!!!
My username is JMVIndustry. I was the one who got out with KJ against 66 on the JJ369 board in the pot of 200k. It would have got me to the $22 ticket and only a double up and a half from the $215 ticket. But, whatever, a $2.20 ticket will do.
After the tournament, I even checked how well the players that I was against did, and the first username I recognized was yours, lol. I think that you made it in one hundred and fifty somethingth.
Anyways, about that hand. I think that it is a call. I know it is near the bubble, but you must remember that your opponent has 6BB, so your range has got to be above his. Also, you still would cash even if you lost, which you likely wouldnt have. The only hands that your afraid of is AA, KK, QQ and JJ, which is quite unlikely. A bit after bubble, you mentioned to another player how you jammed A5o in early position because you only had 4.5BB. Well, the jammrr had only 6BB, so in most cases, they wont have much better, even when on the bubble.
Additionally, I'm not sure if many other players take this into account, but the payout structure in this tournament was very unusual. In most tournaments, the money bubble is more important than the pay jumps, but in this case, it was the other way around. One gets a $2.20 ticket from making it in the top 500 of 30000 runners,
however 300 get 10x the $2.20 ticket (a $22 ticket. And 100 get 100x the $2.20 (a $215 ticket), even though they only have to make it 5x further.
Nevertheless, congratulations on your success in the tournament. I wish I stayed longer, so I could get to where you got
