$Freeroll NLHE MTT: 4bet shove??

I was happy with my 4bet shove... After the hand someone said idiots.

I was thinking SS was calling my OR to possibly play the SnG on the flop, but when other villian 3bets... He had an vpip/prf 50/25 and his 3 bet was 33% even though it was only 8 hands it just looked a bit fishy to me... So I shoved.

I think the buttons 3-bet is pretty bad because he gets himself in a situation where he starts with a really good stack and then needs to call it off with QJo.

Since you only have 8 hands of history on him, he must only have 8 hands on you so I don't see how he can think that he's ahead of your raising range from EP or that you'd fold to him.

You had the right read though and made the right play, so don't worry about this too much. If you get in the habit of folding here to 3-bets then guys like the button would be right to make these moves on you. Also, the push by you, I think, is good. You don't want to be OOP with a pot that is close to 50% of your stack after the flop.

You made the right decision. He was a little wild, because this 3-bet could almost eliminate him from the tournament

This is even more reason to jam AK in here. In a non-freeroll game we are less likely to see non-paired hands call a shove from us here preflop.

I'm pretty much always stacking off AK here in any tourney and willing to take the flip this early. By flatting we're going to end up having to fold most flops after putting 1/3rd of our (effective) stack in and won't be getting action from midpair type hands on Axx and Kxx flops unless we're behind.

Yep I hate flatting AK.

I thing is a good desicion, and you don't obtain tha pair top, is poker, the next oportunity you win.
