What were the blinds? It looks like the BB was 250 or 300, but that would mean that every player had less than 20 BBs, which is really unusual. If the blinds really were that high, than your shove was fine (unless ICM changes something there). If the blinds were actually much smaller than that, less than 100, I think your shove was kinda loose facing an enormous preflop raise.

You have 8bbs here so you should be shoving a pretty wide range against a button open.

The button should be raising wider than A6suited so you can shove this hand all day every day unless maybe the button has never raised a hand yet.

Well played in my opinion. Because all under 15 big blends I think you need to go all in. Sometimes it is very important to push and fold without playing too many experiments.

I wouldn't have shoved A6s in this situation. I would have a tighter shoving range, maybe A9+ with regards to aces. I also wouldn't have pushed because of the raise, meaning you need an even better hand to push with. You had some breathing room with regards to the blinds so there was no need to hurry.

I wonder (knowing the flop of course), if a stop and go wouldn't have been better in this case.

Aggression factor should be considered here. The Btn's AGG is only at 5% which means he is most likely a passive player. So when he's raising here he's not making a play, he's got the goods, I think, and that means your A6 is most likely dominated and way behind. This to me is a clear fold. If this player limped in on the Btn then yes a clear shove.
