60$ tourney in 300-600-50 level and you have 25k chips. UTG+1 opened to 1200$ and action folded to you and you 3-bet to 3600$ with JcJ and he called.

Flop comes: Ac10c2c

He checked. what would you do?

He started this hand with around 30k.

Any info on villain? How has he been playing? Any history between the 2 of you? And what position are you in? How has the table been playing, has UTG been opening early a lot - or at all? Has he been playing agro, passive, ABC etc? 9 handed table seems to be right, or? Was it anywhere near the bubble?

More info needed to make an informed opinion.

depends on table factors but I would put it in my check back range and see a turn card and go from there.

He is the standard low buy-in live tourney player like the A high limper which don't care about kicker, sticky.

Thanks.

I think a main point would be how you see his check. If he likes to limp any A, would he check back TP here? We would love to get him to fold an A to this board, but can he do that?

I guess keeping the pot small is a good option, so checking back probably a very good idea. We have a hand with good SD value, and a decent draw. If we bet and he calls, that sucks. If we bet and he raises that sucks even more.

So, yea, I guess check. I kinda dont really like it (since we 3 bet an EP raise, and he just calls) but it seems the best option. He will possibly c/c any A, so we only get mainly worst hands to fold I suppose.

I don't think we can get him to fold an A on the flop. Maybe if we keep barreling and barrelling big he folds on the turn.

Well, I am folding here. From the info we have we are either WB or facing a draw that may not be willing to go away. I am not putting a lot of bluffs or FPS moves in his repertoire here.

I look forward to hearing why I shouldnt or why I should.

I was thinking we can call here. He has some 88-1010 that he turned into bluff. We also have the flush draw as a back up.

JJ

My advice would be to check JcJh (JJ with a club) on AcTc2c, as you still have a flush draw and you can improve on any club and beat your opponent if he has an ace, but I would recommend to bet with JJ without a club. This will balance your range perfectly.

because he's UTG I tend to put him on a stronger range of pocket pairs and big aces.

as such, this board isn't really great for you. the bigger pocket pairs still beat you and TT sucked out on you and the aces got there

I'd check it back with the intent of giving up on the turn if it's a bad card.

if turn is a club or a Jack we can continue but this flop kinda stinks for us.
