Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 60/60/60

Hi I wasn’t sure where to post my question. Here goes I am playing a live 60 buyin tournament nl. I am plus one with 26k in chips with pocket tens. And under the gun called the blinds are 1500 and 3k big blind. I push my 9 big blind stack. And get called by pocket aces on cutoff. And there is 14 players left out of 90 players. I get knocked out the flop is Q93 all off suit and turn a jack. And river nothing comes. Did I play my hand wrong.

I don't think so. With only 9BB's left, shoving pocket tens from any position seems fine to me (unless there is some redicules action in front of you).

Did you manage to make the money?

Unlucky anyway, standard shove no matter what.

S*** happens, very standard IMO, with high blinds you got to play agressive with this hand, its like pocket JJ, unfortunally you just found aces

I don't think you played this hand wrong. Assuming Antes are in play here and you are really in a shove fold position. That being said, what other hands might have you open shoved here with? AK AQ AJ? KQ? Would you have opened 9s and folded to a 3bet?

You play it good in this situation but don't think much about this hand, in the past i do this all the time and the real question is HOW i get to this spot where i have 9bb, and that is the question that you have to answer
