I think that's a fine play. Betting 50 and winning a 255 pot doesn't do a whole lot for your tournament EV there.

HAHAHAA LOL!!!! I Think I had something similar in a 90 man tourney the other day, I couldn't stop laughing, the othe player fold my last raise, and I showed him the hand ....lucky him, he was going for the straighjt me for the flush hhehe

Some may say "we all are playing the board, how can I lose?" and call. Of course, it would suck if someone had Qx of diamonds. Did anyone call?

Someone did this to me live not that long ago. Three people in the hand and I'm on the button, the board came:



And the player UTG who had me covered shoved in when it had checked down the entire way. I play bad (see above about checking down the entire way) so I folded after MP folded. He showed he was playing the board and I made the wrong decision.

You risked your entire stack for $105? You are only going to get called if someone has the Q or J flush. Seems a little risky this early in the tournament, hopefully this worked out OK for you.

it's a $6 sitngo, i'm pretty sure this is untrue.

Since it cost you nothing to see the river, how can we hate you? It's highly likely you win this hand with a checkdown anyway.

(of course secretly we all hope you made this donk move into someone sitting QdJd)

I LOLd.

We definitely get called more often if we bet smaller... but I think we get called often enough by people assuming we're playing the board that I like the shove more. It'd make me sad in the pants to only win an extra 200 or something off this.
